Yes it did. In fact - if you have good fabricators -with little tolerance to 1mm error in scaling and doing woodwork patterns - you can easily build one from scratch using a 1:18 scale model to scale up with wood or clay - then have your fiberglass guys to make the negative molds. - or even possible more with a latero and a lot of body fillers later. It is after all -"the" first SUPER EXOTIC CAR - built very much ahead of it's time.

MY Old VW 411LE - a perfect donor Car for a 911 replica - If you can still find one.

A small MG can be based on an old Toyota Corona - just a little chassis reinforcement if you are using a unibody donor car.

Another observation I have on Pinoy Kit Car or Replica Builders is they aim really high. There's probably only a few who are really able to hit their target and one of them is Nene Syquia and Atoy.

There is one legendary Kit Car Builder in Texas - called Thunder Ranch, they were building VW based kit cars mainly, and they have a pretty good product line.

Here's a walk through video for everybody's reference.

I posted this in another thread but I thought I'd share here as well...

Below is a relatively new kit for the Ferrari 430 Spider that can be purchased in the UK. Donor is a late model MR2 Spyder.

    Donor Car:

    Fiberglass Panels:

    Finished Car:

It even comes with a fake engine cover. The regular guy on the street won't be able to tell the difference from the real car.

    Here's the Build Diary: http://355madman.piczo.com/430build?cr=7&linkvar=000044

    Cheers

In the Philippines, you'd probably prefer to keep the MR2 as is.
