Hi foifoi,
welcome!
you got something there. very good presentation. but......lets clear some things:
your mola concept drawing: is this a future jeepney, OTJ(Owner-type jeep), or PhUV? there are differnet threads for each of the vehicle types mentioned.
thanks for joining and hope to see some more of your designs.

thanks for the clarification, i guess the Mola wont fit since its intended for a concept sarao revival (bec of the horse).
my apologies for that. Anyway, PM me for a quick tour on the following threads in this section, mukhang mali ata yung post ko sa isang thread. Interesting talks back there that i got carried away and got lost kung ano popost ko, and its late anyway.peace

Picturing the iCar
Apple, of course, has been working with automakers since at least January 2005, when the first iPod-ready Mercedes-Benz rolled off the line. Since then, according to Macworld, Toyota, Citroen and Lamborghini have all announced iPod integration in new model cars.![]()
A brief report in the German magazine Capital that Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs and Volkswagen chief Martin Winterkorn met in California recently to share ideas about a so-called iCar has Apple watchers scratching their heads once again about what such a car would look like.
Apple's relationship with Jaguar goes deeper than that. "We have been working with Apple on control interfaces," Ian Callum, designer of the new Jaguar XF, told Car Magazine recently. Like the keypad-free iPhone, the new Jag does without a gearshift, opting instead for a "drive selector." As Callum describes it, the car boots up like a Mac:Step inside and the starter button starts to pulsate like a heartbeat. Press it and the car comes to life. The air vents rise up and the JaguarDrive Selector pops up. (link)But judging from earlier reports, the Apple-VW collaboration is something else again. In July, AppleScoop posted a fuzzy screenshot of a concept car the two companies were said to be working on and shared what they'd heard about it:Rumor has it that the vehicle will sport Apple's AirPort networking system along with a touch-screen, modified version of the popular iMac. Not many specifics were given on the design or it's potential features, but my source says the iCar will do to other luxury vehicles what the iPhone did to other smart phones. (link)That got the staff at Engadget thinking. They dug up the old Chris O'Riley illustration at the top of this page and brainstormed about what an Apple iCar could do:
Ryan: "Can hit 100Mph, can't hit 100Kbps."
Evan: "The scroll wheel would be hard to steer in sharp turns."
Paul: "Give it a few weeks and you should be breaking 25Mph no sweat."
Nilay: "It only uses one kid of gas!"
Josh: "I hear it doesn't have 3G either."
Chris: "Internal combustion engines were stupid until we decided to use them."
Dante: "White." (link)

Concept Car?
Here's one originally was a concept car built by seven people in their backyard at Sommerset UK. The chassis was then adapted by Wrightspeed and mounted an electric motor, which then beats ferrari & porshe in a quatermile drag.
Good Idea for the wanna be local car manufacturer.
There are pros and cons, syempre.
Pero I bet this would sell like hot potatoes
As featured in TopGear(gas)

From UK now being built in the US (hindi ko na makita yung video ng production plant nila mismo eh, galing ang simple lang)

Dont miss this one! Ariel Atom X-1 (modified electric version)

It used used to be just a concept years ago - posted in car design news.com. The electric version is fun to watch beating the supercars in You tube. also making donuts. The one shown in top gear had a honda engine in it. It's a prototype already... a proof of concept. now - their next problem is making a real car body to cover it.
I still recall when they posted it some years ago when it was still a sketch... it was just a subframe with x submembers, thus the X-1 name was derived. It's actually a Lotus 7 inspired concept. ultra minimalism.

A subcompact car from Hong Kong -
http://www.kingdom.com.hk/doce/maps_location/euauto.htm
mycar is an environmental friendly micro-car designed by world-class automobile designer Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italy. This project has attracted tremendous attention throughout Europe, Asia and as far as North and Central America. While the Hong Kong SAR government puts automobile component industry as one of the top 6 segment to be focused, mycar is well inline with this strategy. This project is also endorsed by the Hong Kong Innovation of Technology Commission by granting it the Research and Development funding.
Mr. Peter Sun, as the major shareholder and Chairman of mycar project, has vision to develop and market environmental friendly mini vehicles to Europe, North America and Asia.
The mycar project was initiated through Hong Kong Ploytechnic University and a couple local industrialists including Mr. Peter Sun and Mr. Raymond Chan. A joint venture company was formed namely EuAuto Technology Limited (previously was under Innovech Technology Limited).
To make the project successful, the team engaged expertise around the world. With the magic touch of Mr. Giugiaro on the styling of mycar , complimented with years of China manufacturing background through Peter’s corporation (Kingdom Group), the product will be able to balance the European stylish design and good quality at an affordable price to customers.

Mycar will have different version : gasoline, electric and hybrid. To help us speeding up the development and approval process, we are working closely with international partners to combine the strengths and expertise for multinational markets.

For those who are interested in what is probably the most important OPV yet conceptualized, here are the links to Eduardo San Juan's research paper that led to the Lunar Rover.

San Juan did his research for the Hayes International Corporation,
a research contractor for the NASA - George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in November 1964.
The document shows that San Juan conceptualized not just the vehicle, but the Lunar Shelter as well.
A must-read for aspiring OPV designers! :2thumbsup:
