September 28th, 2007 02:56 AM #24i'm about to make a ducktail spoiler for my car... since di uso dito ang ducktail spoiler sa civic... i will use liquid styrofoam then carve it then cover it with bondo after.. di pa kasi ako marunong mag mold ng carbon fiber e.. hehe

Tutal DIYer ka, why not do it properly, use plain fiberglass muna before jumping into carbon fiber.
Materials are readily available kung nasa Pinas or US ka.
where do you get liquid styrofoam?

September 28th, 2007 08:14 AM #26hmm.. manipis lang na ducktail spoiler.. yung parang sa mga bmw's.. pwede rin fiberglass.. pero parang testing muna kasi gagawin ko e... pag gumana then gagawin ko sya as plug para gawin fiberglass na.. pero lang ako marunong mag cast ng isang buong hulmahan..
binili ko yung liquid styrofoams, resins and glass at tapplastics.com

try reinforcing your experiment with natural fibers(eg. bamboo). trust me, it works and it HURTS.
