[SIZE=4]good day po
i recently purchased a 89 l300,gas po ito
when we were inspecting the van before buying we tested the ac,it was working kaso mahina ang lamig
so after buying it we drove it home not turning on the ac kasi wala din naman lamig
the next day my wife brought it to our local ac tech and nilagyan lang ng freon(charged her 800 pesos)and malamig na
the problem is everytime na ginagamit nya ang van at naka on ang ac ay namamatayan daw sya at a certain point,sometimes kailangan padaw itulak.pag di naman naka on ang ac e di naman namamatay
can anybody suggest something or anything,im running out of my wits
any help will be highly appreciated

October 13th, 2010 05:43 PM #2You may want to have the aircon system checked/cleaned as it may be putting too much load on the engine when engaged. Have the idle up device (this causes the rpm to increase when the aircon compressor is turned on) inspected as well.

L300 gasoline '90 model user here, as what CivicVTi suggested.... yes, have the idle up device(actuator) checked if it's working.
if the actuator fails, posibleng mag-choke/mamatay nga yung makina pag nag-AC lalo na pag naka-idling sya dahil hindi na kaya ng makina yung load ng compressor with the aircon switched on.
nagpalit na po ako nito kailan lang, factory installed pa yung pinalitan kong actuator.
you can get this actuator at any decent suking auto supply around 150~250 pesos.
check your accelerator cable also, baka sticky na sya...apektado din yan pag gumagana na yung actuator/idle up system, you can almost feel the the idle up's slight pull at your accelerator pedal everytime na mag-eengage yung compressor pag naka-idle ka.
pinalitan ko na din 'tong sa amin. any replacement model will do also here.
hope it helps....
