December 29th, 2009 10:06 PM #1hello good day guys..ive noticed that most temperature inquries were based on analog temperature gauges..What is the normal engine temp? I have a mechanical guage in my pinoy wrangler since i have no thermostat in my engine my normal city driving temp is about 150 F, long idle 160F, highspeed running is about 190 F on hot days can go up to 200 F all with AC on.it takes awhile for my engine to warm up..Ive read on how things work.com is normal operating temp is about 200 F and sometimes can go up to 230 F.it said that the internal combustion engine runs most efficient at about 200 F.I also want to add that it also said that thermostat usually fully opens at 180 F.Is this correct?i hope someone can enlighten me..
