squeeking sound when aircon is on

hello guys, need some help about my concern.

everytime ino-on ko kasi ang aircon ng tsikot, may squeeking sound. pag inoff ko nawawala. im not sure if alternator or compressor yun. which is which kaya?

also, could this mean sira na yun or maluwag lang na pwede iadjust ang belt?

compressor bearing yan bro. try mo muna sprayan ng WD-40.

Yup, malamang compressor bearing yan. Pero its an indication na its on its early dying stages. Kung pwedeng palitan, habang maaga, papalitan mo na. Some compressors kasi, like Calsonic, disposable.

di ba madadaan sa higpit lang ng belt?

mga magkanu ba (average) ang replacement at anu ok na brand?

hi again. i just checked my car at nakita ko na humihinto ang compressor at certain instances that causes the squeak!

my suspicions:
1. maluwag ang belt.
2. bearing needs lubrication (as per you guys)
3. sira na compressor...at wag naman sana. =(

yoko iconclude un #3. huhuh
pwede kaya masolve lang un ng either #1 or #2?

by the way, masama ba yung i-on ko padin ang aircon while driving kahit na nawawala naman yung sound pag mabilis na ang takbo ko? tumutunog nalang uli pag gapang nalang ang andar.

malabo yung belt bro. its either #2 or #3. i also experienced this last week nung bumabagyo and bumaha. medyo tumunog yung compressor bearing ko dahil nabasa siguro.

what i just did is to have it sprayed with WD-40 (onti lang, hwag lulunurin), while it is spinning. ayun, nawala na.

Better siguro kung belt dressing, kasi masyadong madulas ang WD-40. But that is only a temporary fix.

I drove with that squeak for 1 year siguro on my Sentra. Intermittent lang, minsan meron, minsan wala, so akala ko before either maluwag yung belt or basa. Little did I know na pabigay na pala yung compressor bearing. Buti na lang hindi nag-stuck up, otherwise, tinirik daw ako. Ended up buying a surplus compressor.

Hopefully, yung sayo, pwede pang palitan.

pagtumunog basain mo ung belt para malaman mo muna kung saan galing pag dinawala malamang bearing na nga or pwede rin ung clutch pulley nya manipis na kaya medyo tumatama na ung rivets. clutch n pulley dami ng surplus nyan mura lang, better paayos mo na pagnagstock up yan dami sisirain lalaki gastos mo. kung brandnew na bearing below 1T lang din + freon n labor
