December 7th, 2010 07:52 AM #1am not sure if this is the right category pero here's what i notice and sana someone can give me advice on this. recently i had my oil change, tune up, replace oil seal and o ring, and change timing belt. after lahat magawa. engine sounds and feels better. pero after like a day or two, napansin ko na parang bilis uminit ng makina at parang hirap pag medyo binibilisan ko na.
gamit ko is coolant(50/50 distilled water). before i had all these change, ang paggamit ko ng coolant is like every two weeks ang refill at napakakonti ng nilalagay ko. it's like my 1 coolant mix(2 liters) is good for 4 months. pero after nun, ambilis maubos ng coolant ko. 2 days after at 1 way lang on my way 2 office halos 1/4 na lang natira sa container saka parang asa 2k rpm/shift pa lang ako hirap na makina. am not sure if this has something to do with those changes kasi radiator ko naman is working A-ok pero it really worries me bigtime. i will make a ff-up on this one prolly this coming saturday(5 more days) sa shop. no choice ako but to wait dahil sa work pero sana anyone can give me advice po on how to go about this one. ride ko pala is an old school honda civic lx.

December 7th, 2010 09:44 AM #2Did you change your water pump when you changed timing belt? Look into this first. See to it that all hoses are put back properly.

December 7th, 2010 10:41 AM #3Sir may problem na po yung cooling system niyo kahit before pa tune up... kasi dapat hindi nag babawas ng coolant ang radiator or even the reserve tank... Base on my experience una pa konti konti lang dag dag then dadami yan... eventually overheat na... happened to me sa Civic ko muntik na mag overheat... the culprit is the radiator may leak sa side... got a fresh surplus radiator(Plastic top) Ever since I never had to top up my radiator or even the reserve... always on Max level...

December 9th, 2010 08:30 AM #7^Kung saan nakadugtong yung lower radiator hose mo, andun and water pump. Madali lang makita kung may leaks ka kasi naka-coolant mixture ka, obvious kung saan may green na natuyo.
