I saw at Ace hardware a product named Whiz Radiator Stop Leak. It claims to stop all leaks in both radiators and engineblocks whether its steel, aluminum or copper. Ok ba ito?

The radiator of our 10-year old Feroza still loses water every now and then after a radiator repair, cap replacement and check-up. Wala naman daw butas sa radiator or sa hoses. Do you think these stop-leak products are effective?

    Thanks.

Nope. It might just clog your radiator core.

Baka leaky na ang cylinder head gasket ng Feroza kaya nagcoconsume ng water.

pang emergency lang yan, remedy lang until you can change your leaking radiator. we do have stock of that here on the rig just in case our smaller engines (as in 350-700hp crane and emergency generator) develop a leak. effective but to a limited extent (dapat maliit lang ang leak). pag malaki na leak sa radiator di na kaya nyan. palit radiator core na din. it only works on copper radiator cores nga pala. sa engine block and cylinder head useless yan.

don't use it. magsisisi ka lang. lalong dudumi ang radiator mo.

    add ko lang

try to replace first d radiator cap. buy a branded radiator cap (denso) at wag ung chipipay. Wala kwenta ung rubber seal ng chipipay na brand.

how did they check the cooling system ?did they presurize it with the tester that should be able to tell you if your head gasket is leaking.

Whiz has two products in the market for radiator leaks one is powder based the Quik Seal and another is liquid based the Metal Seal. Both are effective for small leaks. Wherever radiator fluid passes through, the product will reach it. For those who are wary about it clogging, they can use the liquid version.

ask ko lang if may nakagamit na sa inyo ng alumaseal radiator stop leak? may leak yung rear plate ng cylinder block ko eh in between the engine block and transmission... option ko is to drop down the transmission to have the plate replaced, or use this stop leak product? any insights? magkakaproblem ba transmission ko non pag binaba, automatic yung akin eh?

Parang stop gap solutions lang mga ito. Hindi pang matagalan. kung nawawalan ka ng tubig (because of a radiator leak, head gasket leak, busted head) dapat pa ayos mo na or palitan as soon as possible. gastos
