Ang alam ko pwede, nagawa ko to dati sa 1990 corolla pero wala naman naging problema, wala na rin ako pinabago sa aircon system.

as you can see sir, question posted yesterday weekend, wala work, close shop ko, monday is holiday, kya wala pren me worker.

magnaflow , hindi masama ang magtanong kung hindi sigurado or hindi alam ang trouble or procedure but you're representing a professional AC SERVICE FACILITY . hahayaan mo na lang ba na malaman ng karamihan na incompetent ang shop mo?

yes it was weekend ,pero hindi yan ang reason , you just let the rest of us know who's in charge . if i were you i should have phoned my top guy to answer these basic questions .

if you want a professional advice why don't you get your shop registered with IATN ( all the techs in the world gather their thoughts together to help each other solving problems) and it's free.

r-12 is r12... r-134a is r134a.. magkaiba yan... parang gasoline engine oil vs diesel engine oil! or dexron vs mercon vs diaqueen vs mercon5 vs alisson c-4 atfs.. di mo pwede paghaluin!

maxima ko is converted to r134a an these are the summary of work:

1. TOTAL FLUSH OF THE SYSTEM. These includes: compressor opening, flushing the pipes, evaporator,condenser/s. this is to remove ALL traces of r-12 oil.

2. after flushing, include the cleaning of the evaporator,replace reciever/drier and expansion valves. check for leaks and reassemble the ac-system.. replacement of r-12 compressor oil to r 134a oil is done once put back together and after vacuuming the system.

3. after replacing the oil, put the r134a in. remember, that r134a is thermally more efficient than r12.. kaya mas kautin ang lagay nun than r12. for instance, if 1/2 kl nilalagay mong r12, sa r134a, mostlikeky 1/3 - 400g ng r134a lang lalagay mo kasi mas nageexpand ang r134a than r12..pag masyadong maami, sisirain nyan o-rings mo.

4. thats about it...

and hinde incompetent ung shop namin... wala akong naging masamang feedbacks sa mga customer namin... once ipinasok nila ung car nila, pag labas ng car repaired at ok na...


and mas maganda na siguro ung NAGTANONG kesa nag AALAM ALAMAN...

advice ko lang kung wala ka talagang basics sa CAR AC ,huwag mo nang i touch yung car para walang maging prublema.

hintayin mo na lang yung mga techs mo para sigurado.

complicated ang retrofitting .it takes an experienced tech to tackle this.
