If revving lowers temperature, that sounds like a water pump about to seize. Mataas na ang resistance so you have to rev to make it pump more. There are other sources of resistance din naman like a clogged radiator.

Never take out the thermostat. Always replace with OEM or a correct substitute. You will just be opening a can of worms if you eliminate it.
