Hi Guys,
Wow, barely 3 weeks of owning a car eh ang dami ko na naging problems.. Sana magamit ko na ung car sa holiday sa Nov without problemds...
Buti na lang dami ako tulong na nareceive dito sa forum. Ngayon naman ang problem is may tendency to overheat na yung car (96 Galant SS). Punta kami Tarlac yesterday (from mandaluyong), very smooth naman ung takbo namin sa NLEX tapos nung nasa dau exit na kami unti unti tumaas ung needle ng temp. Di naman umabot sa critical level.. pag dating namin ng Tarlac pina-check namin sa mechanic ung car, sabi nung mechanic, may pressure ung radiator kasi lumalabas daw ung water pag binuksan ung cover (bubbling?), ang diagnosis nila is kailangan i replace ung cylinder head gasket. Ang mga napansin nila is may konting water na lumalabas sa muffler, kumonti ung engine oil (kaka change oil lang namin mga 2 weeks ago) and parang may oil (buo-buo) sa radiator and dun sa lalagyan ng water (sa coolant?) tapos ang bilis din maubos ung water nung radiator..
Need advice po ulit from the expertson what to do and kung tama na un cylinder head gasket nga ang culprit.
salamat po,
Sprex

Water sa exhaust is normal. Combustion produces CO2 and H2O.
Oil can be leaking from somewhere else. Have the engine cleaned tapos check mo kung san yung leak galing. Engine oil consumption may also be a cause kung bakit nauubos yung oil.
To confirm headgasket problem, look at the coolant. Kung medyo murky siya na parang malapot, or has the consistency of milk na brown, baka yon na nga yun.

from what you described, possible... almost all of them are symptoms of a busted clylinder head gasket... also, palyado ba? and check the oil if nagbago kulay? whitish color means, water might have mixed w/ oil already... refrain from using your car muna. pa check mo na agad... goodluck, hopefully it can be solved w/ minimum gastos... 3 weeks pa lang sayo ung car?!? what other problems lumabas na? mileage ng car?

yes cylinder gasket na yan kung meron tiny droplest of oil sa radiator mo. kung di ka pa rin sigurado pa compression test mo. If you're ready to change your head gasket,my advice is to replace the valve seals as well that will save you time and money.Make sure hindi rin warp yung deck.

Compression test checks if the cylinders have leaks in them. Post your area, baka may marecommend ang Tsikoteers na malapit sa iyo.
