nag overheat ako (*#$!*#$)

Guys, i really need your help, The other night, nag overheat and 96 hondaesi ko, found out that nasira pala yung condem hose ( yung parang tapon, condom hose nga tawag ng iba eh), i had it replaced then after a week nasira na naman, nag overheat na namnn ako, so duda ko sa RADIATOR kasi baka kako barado, this morning, ipina overhaul ko na, after ng overhaul, nag overheat padin, sabi ng mekaniko baka daw yung THERMOSTAT, pede namn daw alisin yon. so pinaalis ko muna, habang maghahanap ako ng pampalit, pero now na pahinto nako sa may office ko napansin ko na tumaas nanaman, at paghinto ko without turning off the engine, unti unti na bumalik sa normal position ang temp gauge.

Tanong, ok lang ba talaga alisin ang thermostat ? Me idea ba kayo kung ano naman ang pa check ko ?

Baka naman may loose connections sa wiring harness mo.

Try to have your auxiliary fan check.

Kung hindi malamang yun thermostat nga.

ok namn AUX fan,. nag automatic pa namn. inalis na nga agad thermostat eh. pero ganun pa din

pwede by-pass yan without using thermostat para lagin naka ON yun auxiliary fan mo.

Dapat naman siguro hindi ka na mag-overheat niyan.

ang mangyayari naman sa oto mo pag tinanggal mo yung thermostat ay matagal mararating ang normal temperature during warm up sa umaga dahil un-restricted na ang flow ng tubig sa makina, kahit pa hindi pa mainit ang engine. kung sira man ang iyong thermostat palitan mo rin ito dahil meron itong purpose kaya ito nilagay dito.

your right sauman, is there a way of checking the thermostat kung ok pa o inde na, bago ako bili. kasi muakng gnaun pa din sya eh. tumataas pa din ang temp kahit ala na thermostat.

REBEL, ok nga aux fan ko, nag automatic namn, on off sya. kahit ala na thermostat.

Check mo din yung aux fan baka mahina na yung ikot. Umaandar nga pero not enough to cool the radiator.

hello,

nagoverheat din ako last month ganito nangyari, this might be of help:

1. drive ako, me soft explosion
2. sumabog water plug
3. palit water plug
4. 15 mins after sumabog uli
5. palit mas makapal na water plug
6. overheat uli, butas sa radiator naman
7. bili new radiator
8. check thermostat, ok, fan, ok
9. start ko engine ng wala radiator cap, parang bulkan, me pressure
10. top overhaul
11. check head, ok, no warp
12. check head gasket, yun sira
13. palit head gasket
14. ok hataw uli!

Yung thermostat kailanan alisin mo sa engine mo to check.

Ilagay mo sa kalderong may tubig. Tapos pakuluan mo sa kalan. Tignan mo kung gagalaw yung thermostat. Kapag hindi gumalaw, stuck up yan.

bagong kaalaman na naman ito sir otep ...................kahit ano thermostat ba ng sasakyan pwede ganito test...........

Yup this will work on all thermostats. You will also need a thermometer. I forgot the specs. Pero most thermostats are supposed to click open at a certain temperature.

boss noah, dapat ba inde parang bulkan pag pinaandar ko na wala radiator cap ?

head gasket ? alin part po ito ?

Nagcicirculate ba yung tubig sa radiator?

Check mo water pump.

redefine, yup nag circulate naman, kasi umiinit pareho top at lower radiator hose eh. paano ko kaya ma test kung mahina na water pump ko.

anyway ganito ginawa ko kanina, ni open ko ang radiator cup tapos pinaandar ko. nung idle, ok namn ala ako nakikita na bula bula sa tubig, tapos ni rev ko ng konti, tumaas ang tubig at may nakita ko na maliliit na bula bula, nung mainit na tubig kasi umikot na AUX fan, pag ni rev ko. nag overflow na tubig. tama ba yon ?

mister_big_bird, may problema na sa cylinder head kung may bula at nag-ooverflow ang tubig sa radiator. Pa-check mo na sa mekaniko mo, sana ay cylinder head gasket lang ang problema, isang araw lang iyun sa mekaniko. Kapag baluktot ang cylinder head ay ipapa-resurface mo pa sa machine shop.

check mo water pump baka hindi na maka circulate tubig.
replace mo thermostat importante ito aux fan and fan motor also dapat malakas pa winding ng motor.leaks sa mga hoses maaring meron pag tumatakbo lang kotse.

pahigop ang tubig pag umandar na ang fan motor hindi pa overflow.tama si bro.
huwag ka na magtipid pa re surface mo na, maki usap ka na lang sa machineshop para maghapon lang tapos na.
