I've been researching on how to get rid of the musty smell coming from the AC vents when turning the car on and a lot of people swear by this method*. My car is only a couple months old so I'm quite hesitant in doing something that could potentially ruin it. So my question now is, is it safe to spray Lysol in the air vents and was there an instance that this method messed up a car's interior? What other methods could you suggest, aside from bringing the car to the casa? Thank you in advance!

1. Turn the AC on, fan on full blast.
2. Switch from recirculation to fresh air mode.
3. Open all the windows.
4. Spray the Lysol disinfectant onto the AC vents just beneath the windshield.
