    Hi Guru's,

there are four ways to check for leaks in the airconditioner loop. one, with soupand water solution sprayed to the suspected area. two, flourescent dye penetrant injected into the refrigerant area and use a black light (ultra violet light) to expose the leak. three, use an electronic leak detector (the most preferred method). and four, without refrigerant in the system (usually done after parts replacement), vacuum leak test by evacuating the system at least twenty minutes at around 29.5 inches of mercury, if the system holds vacuum, it usually means that the system is vacuum tight but not necessarily pressure tight. for the evaporator area, the soap and water method does not work, you usually can tell if the evaporator or its o-rings are leaking by the smell of the refrigerant that has mixed with moisture (smells like horse crap) at the registers or vent

    Sir,

Just look at the weather forecast umaabot na tayo ng more than 34 degrees

your car is equipped with a very small engine which can only be equipped with a small compressor and of course small components. the btu per hour should be commensurate to the cooling load and the size of the passenger compartment of the car. if the unit had a bigger unit, it will cool the car even when it is hot. compare your house with a small window type a/c that is not big enough, even if the unit is very efficient, its capacity does not suffice the cooling load

by the way po, I have medium black 3M tint po, nag-try po ako ng soap and water way, pero wala ako nakitang bubbles. San po ba may electronic detection leak? How much po ba to?

The quickest way to detect a leak is using a halogen leak detector. Its essentially a sniffing device that is calibrated for a particular gas/substance.
