Help: Overheating Problem

Mga sir, ask lang ako ng opinion yung car ko kase 97 corolla gli napansin ko nataas yung temperature habang idle or natatraffic.

Then kahapon napansin ko na yung aux fan dun sa may radiator natakbo lang pag naka on yung aircon tapos parang mabagal lang sya tapos titigil ulit. I know para sya automatic kaso ayun nga for the mean time ang ginawa ko eh tinanggal ko muna sa thermostat sensor ba yun yung plug nung sa AUX fan para continious sya natakbo. Ok naman sya nde na nanataas yung temperature nasa kalahati na lang unlike nung last time para na syang nakulo.

Ang question ko do i need to replace the thermostat sensor or need ko pacheck muna wirings ko? Nagtataka kase ako pag naka aircon lang natakbo tapos mahina pa.. pero nung ni disconnect ko sya dun sa thermostat sensor ang tulin ng takbo.

Bro just want to ask diba you said you took off the connectors coming from the fan to the thermistor sensor and you just connect it directly to each other and your fan spunned fast. Maybe you need to use a relay because a thermistor sensor ould only allow little current to pass onto it thats why your fan turned but just slowly. just my opinion.

Yung sensor kse yung nakakabit sa engine then may plug lang sya na nakaconnect sa fan after ko sya unplugged constant na natakbo yung fan. Unlike before na tuwing may aircon lang.

time to replace the sensor, it's about to give up kaya likely erratic ang ikot ng fan.

replaced the thermo switch tapos pinalitan ko na rin yung radiator cap just incase and mukhang ok na sya.. natraffic ako sobra kanina ni nde lumampas ng kalahati yung sa guage ko.

Hmm. . .there is a possibility that engine would overheat when you remove fan shourd.
Its major function is channel the air for smooth air flow for greater cooling.

less effective ang fan pag wala ang shroud. at kung wala yung shroud pwedeng umiikot lang dun sa engine compartment yung hangin so bawas ang hangin na nahihigop ng fan na dumadaan sa radiator.

Yun kaya dahilan ng pag overheat ng van ko pag na stock sa trafict ng mga 1 hour tumataas temp sa 3/4 pero d naman nag babawas ng tubig

when i bought my korean van brand new, the temp needle never got higher than 1/2. as it got older over the years, the needle started creeping up and up.. probably because the scales were starting to build up.. old school ako.. plain water only for coolant.).
finally, i decided to upgrade the radiator with one having more rows than factory.. ayun.. ok na ulit..

and that shroud is important.. in close engine quarters and in non-moving traffic, it does prevent "recycling" the hot air..

Remember that radiator descaling service called LAVRAMON? Very effective in cleaning up the scales in the engine block & radiator. Meron pa ba nun?

mga sir kakapalit ko lang ng rad kasi may tama na at leaks yung lumang rad. ok nmn so far pero pansin ng mechanic ko na yung fan hindi nag on unless nka on aircon tapos matagal interval bago umikot ulit yung fan. sabi nya regardless kung nka aircon or hindi dapat iikot fan kpg mainit na coolant. palitan ko na daw thermostat sensor at thermo switch. honda jazz 2005 automatic po ride ko.. what you think? honestly never ko tlga narinig umikot fans kapag off aircon.. akala ko normal lang un.

after a few hours of travel i checked the water.. mejo bumaba.. nag lagay pako ulit. will wait lumamig ulit then check water level sa rad.

Sir sotel, the hoses you are referring to are for the heater coil for the ac.

Agree ako sir wiring at sensor pacheck ninyo. sure ba kayo na wala kayong leaks?

Agree ako sir pacheck niyo na sensor and wirings, tapos pacheck niyo na din kung may leaks kayo sa cooling system niyo.
