    Hello mga bossing,

First time posting.
133k+ mileage .Yung temperature kasi niya tumataas, kapag stop & go
traffic (rush hour EDSA).

    - Jumpered radiator fan
    - Thermostat removed
    - Radiator cleaning

    Thanks

    levinbz,
you definitely need the thermostat. you can go back to previous threads on thremostats. if the gauge displays 75%, it does not mean it is overheating as long as the gauge needle does not reach the red line. your fan thermoswitch might not be enabling the fan relay at the right temperature (sean paul) because it might be worn out or the sensing tip is coated with calcium/lime buildup if you have not serviced your antifreeze/coolant or you have been using plain water. have the ignition timing checked and check for engine vacuum leaks. if the exhaust gases smells like rotten eggs at times, suspect a vacuum leak that's causing too high of combustion and the sulfur in the gasoline is reacting to combustion.

    Thanks sa mga reply.

Kaya po tinanggal dati yung thermostat & nirekta ang fan before is dahil sa erratic temp. If mapalitan kaya ng bago thermostat and maibalik sa dati wiring ng rad fan may difference ba? or dapat na ibaba makina and ipacheck .

    Thanks

    levinbz,
what you had them do by removing the thermostat and jumpering the radiator fan circuit is inject two new problems. you do not fix a problem with another one or more. check engine vacuum at idle. it will tell you if the intake has a leak. it is similar to an oxy-acetylene torch; to get the flame hotter you add oxygen. in this case, more air for the same amount of fuel which makes it too lean and hot. or check your engine temperature using an infrared thermometer, who knows it is your gauge that is faulty.

Thanks a lot. Currently reading "The Great Thermostat Debate", very informative.

    Hello,

next is palinis/overhaul mo yung radiator.

Guys, we have the same ride pero hanggang 1/2 lang yung temp. nia. May mga suggestions ako maybe this will help.
    1. Mag flushing ka sa engine and radiator, may nabibili na flushing fluid sa Handyman, DIY lang just follow the instruction on the bottle. Sa flushing this will remove the scales present inside the engine water jacket, lalo na kung di ka gumagamit ng coolant. Note, scales in the wall will reduced the heat transfer from the combustion chamber to cooling water and will increase the engine temp.
    2. Check the main fan RPM, kung mabagal na then it will suck lesser air passing the core of the radiator, ang effect nito tataas yung engine temp. lalo na kung nasa traffic situation ka kasi yung suction effect ng fan gaay mahina na. Note may pagbabago kung moving na yung car mo, kasi may suction na from fan plus the air stream from the movement of the car.
    3. Try mo rin fix some foam sa mga gaps between the condenser & radiator, para almost 100% ng air stream dadaan sa radiator core.
    Yun lang po.

    dirty / clogged radiator...

during start / stop driving. water is circulating inside the radiator but due to dirt and its starting to clog. heat transfer is suffering. rememeber coolant is cooled through heat transfer between air and coolant sa radiator, kahit ok ang fan... the moment you drive at cruising speed and temperature reverts to normal it is because of the increased amount of air forced into the rad fins during cruising speeds thus offsetting the poor heat transfer inside the radiator during start / stop driving where only the fan is inducing air through the radiator. hope this helps...
