    my question is can you paint a car's condenser, for example, with black or flat black?

    yes you can but it would make the condenser's thermal transfer less efficient.

    kratos,
    the paint will insulate the condenser preventing proper heat transfer to the ambient air. that's the reason why daimler chrysler leave their condensers bear aluminum.
