December 21st, 2013 06:32 PM #1Hello,
Would just like to know if aluminum radiators can be overhauled like copper ones? Been bugging me for a while so I decided to ask the answer here. I'll be considering this in buying a new radiator for my car.
Thanks!

Depends on how bad the damage is and how worn out the radiator is.
If it's pretty worn down, it's best to simply replace it with a new one rather than patching it up every now and then.

December 22nd, 2013 09:30 AM #4yes, it is a gamble when you choose to have it repaired. sometimes, you win, other times you lose..
i had experience once.. i had the leak fixed, and no more followed.. it's been over 5 years..
happy gambling.
my question is, why do some owners have more radiator leaks than others? which radiators are prone to leak? type of water? coolant? etc..
