eto ang nangyari sa kin...

umalis ako kahapon with my aircon still ok. from marilao, nagpunta ko sa city hall nya, then punta ko sa puregold valenzuela with my aircon running ok. ngayon, pagstart ko ng auto sa puregold para makauwi na, biglang humina ang regundo ng makina. i thought nung una eh discharged ang battery pero sabi ko imposible yun mangyari. umistart naman ng maayos pero ang nangyari, nawala ang aircon ko! yung super lamig kong aircon, nawala nalang ng ganun! dumaan ako sa bank, pinatay ko ang makina pero nung pagstart ko, bumalik sa one click starting pero ang aircon, wala pa rin! paguwi ko, chineck ko ang mga fuse at relays na connected sa aircon pero lahat ok naman! hell, nasan kaya ang sira? eto pa pansin ko, hindi ba pag binuksan mo yung aircon, somehow bababa ang menor mo di ba? in my case, hindi nangyari yun. i feel its an electrical problem. sana matulungan nyo ko, TIA!

I had this same experience before with my Pajero 2.8 4m40.

The culprit was due to the air-conditioning flywheel(?) that was connected via a fan belt to the engine. Biglang bumaba ang menor then almost as instantly, the aircon ceased.

I thought that the belt snapped-off but then when I had an car aircon technician diagnose it, it was due to the defective flywheel sa aircon-it could not engage na daw when I turn the aircon switch on. At the time of the repair, we couldn't find an original Mitsubishi replacement so what the technician did was retrofit a similar flywheel assembly from a Toyota Hi-lux Surf which fixed the problem.

Until now I use the same wheel, mas tumagal pa hehehe.

Memphis I think you mean the AC compressor clutch, which is also the pulley driven by the drive belts. It's electromagnetic and if it goes bad, just rotates freely (but appears to be static even with the belts running around it) without cold air going into the cabin even with the AC on.

You can tell if the clutch is bad. With the engine running look at the AC clutch. If the AC is on, the clutch should also be rotating. If it is off, it should remain static. So if the AC is "on" but the clutch remains static, then the clutch is bad.

mga paps, kanina umaga, tinignan namin ng erpats ko kung may supply yung compressor pero wala kami mabasang voltage. tapos may nakita kami busted fuse. nireplace namin at nagkaroon ng supply. kaso nung pag on ko ng aircon, busted yung nireplace na fuse! ngayon, sabi ng erpats ko, compressor problem at yung coil daw niya, hindi nagcocontact. tingin nyo mga papi, hindi pa naman kaya malala ang sira niya?

*sir memphis, eh kung ganun, walang orig? san ka naman nagpagawa tska magkano ang damage kaya ng ganun problema? mahal pa naman ang bagong compressor... you think, hi-precision na shop eh kaya ayusin eto?

*sir mbeige, we'll try again if that clutch you're saying is defective but we are 80% sure that is the problem...

sir, normal problem na po yan sa mga FX ride. some owners will attach 2 aux fan in front of the condenser to help aircon condensation process. Ang pde mo pa check sir or you can check it yourself muna.

1. Revolution of radiator fan. -- observe the fan rotation for a while, then increase the rpm/rev of your FX ride. kapag same speed/rotation pa din at idle speed and higher rpm then you need to check the silicone oil of the radiator fan
2. with a/c running and with idle engine rpm for about 5-10mins. observe the temp gauge and a/c blower temp. if not cool or parang di malamig. try to splashing some water sa condenser making it all wet. then check again the panel temp gauge and a/c blower temp. kung medyo bumaba ang temp at mdyo lumamig un hangin ng aircon. have your condenser flushed with nitrogen and not just compressed air.

If lumalamig ang aircon mo kapag highway speed or high rpm. the remedy would be, installation of 2 aux fans in front of your condenser to compensate the air flow through it.

try mo rin palinis yung radiator, baka di makacirculate ng maayos yung water.coolant pag traffic with aircon on kaya tumataas temperature.
