What is the best and effective radiator coolant regardless of its price. Yung talagang makikita mo na nag improve yung temperature mo.

    I'd stick with OEM coolant.

If price is no object the best is Evans Waterless Lifetime Coolant.

Dropping temps is not a function of your coolant, its a function of your radiator/fan/pump. But in cars its mostly your radiator.

What's your ride and how many horses is your engine pulling?

the thermostat is mostly responsible for the engine's operating temperature

The thermostat only closes or opens to maintain operating temp, but if for instance the radiator or fan or pump is faulty, it will keep itself open but the engine will heat up.

Not all coolants are the same. Pretty lengthy discussion about this on its own depending on what materials are in your loop and what you use your equipment for.

If I remember purple ice and what it does, it essentially breaks the surface tension of water/coolant making it more conductive simply because it allows more molecules to come into contact with heat transfer point.

I do remember it smelling rather terrible too.

You should also check if your radiator's fins are clean.

    Hi guys,

Any pros and cons?

    TnX...

    1) Having the thermostat open sooner doesn't necessarily do anything more for you unless you're tuning your car and you would like to keep your thermostat wide open for longer periods of time. This will increase your warm up time and fuel consumption as well.

    2) The 1.3 bar cap likewise only raises your boiling point insignificantly at the expense of raising the pressure in your cooling loop causing your hoses and seals to prematurely fail.

That's a lot of miles for a 2011 car. It may help changing sooner.
