i think this also applies to 96-98 civics, as explained to me at mang mario's.

i was there yesterday to have my aircon cleaned. nung ikakabit na yung evap after cleaning, norman called my attention. dapat daw either blue (leftmost) or red (rightmost) ang setting. pag sa leftmost ang setting, aircon yun. pinakita nya sa akin na when you set it in this position, nakasara yung damper na nagko-control ng introduction ng air galing sa heater. pag rightmost or anywhere in between, naka-open yung damper which means may papasok na hangin from the heater. kaya daw wag ng galawin yun sa leftmost position.

problema ko lang, sobrang lamig talaga. what i do is just switch off the compressor (A/C) switch pag sobrang lamig na and turn it back on when it's getting a bit warm already.
