Aircon problem

I can't seem to understand why may car aircon's thermostat stops everytime i stop my car for more than 10mins. Every glass and window starts to blur if i stop for few minutes, mostly at night. This means that it is colder outside than the inside right? the vent's are blowing warm air... and as soon as i start moving the winshield clears again and it starts to get cold again... this also happens in traffic though during the day the windows don't blur it's just like a heater... warm air blowing to your face from the vents.

Can anyone clarify why this happens and what i need to do to have it fixed so i know what to tell the aircon shop. thanks

your car must be equipped with a very small displacement engine to save fuel. these cars have an rpm or speed sensor at the compressor clutch or sometimes uses the engine's crank sensor signal. to save fuel and to prevent shaking of the engine under air conditioner load, the clutch disengages and resumes a/c operation soon as you get off idle position of the throttle sensor or the rpm is raised above idle speed

As in pag nag stop ka sir ng 10 min idle, na check mo yung compressor nka engage, tpos walang lamig?

i think putol fanbelt mo ng AC... check it.. but im not that sure...

make and model of the car first. hinde kasi pwede fanbelt marami model na kasama isang belt lang for everything so pag naputol hinde na rin aandar. what about your thermostat settings? isagad mo para mas matagal magautomatic, hinde rin pwede na mag save ng fuel yun car dahil, a normal A/C eh mag automatic talaga siya kahit naka idle. mga pinakamurang diagnostic muna gawin, check compressor relay baka busted na rin, or baka kailangan na ng cleaning barado na drier, expansion valve, evaporator etc.

pwede rin meron leak sa system, hinde talaga mag engage ang compressor pag mababa ang charge ng freon to protect itself, or pwede rin auxilliary fan mo, pag tumatakbo ba lumalamig?

kaya nagkakaganyan yan dahil nag high pressure.

pag wala pa rin either sira na yun electronic thermostat mo or compressor.

don't fret, generally mabilis lang ayusin sira ng A/C. u just need to have the budget. palitan dapat anong palitan.

that's my pet peeve, pag nasira ang A/C...I can live with rattles here and there but broken A/C

I think this is an older model Auto. It also happens to my Feroza. but i blimp the trottle and it runs the compressor. If it is an older car try installing a Mechanical thermostat or Manual. It is basically a thermistor and kapag bumaba ang temp mag open sya para ma on ang compressor.

yung Ac ng l300 ko bigla nalang nawala ung buga ng hangin. Ano kaya problema. Noon e bumubuga pa pero di lumalamig. Ngayon e natuluyan na ata. haha

I have the same issue with my Vios. Nung on the way ako para ipacheck yung aircon ko, may onti pang lamig. Minsan may lamig, tapos mawawala, tapos babalik yung lamig. Yung diagnosis daw is busted na AC compressor, kasi mataas daw dun sa low pressure (around 40 psi, dapat daw sa around 30 psi) tapos sakto lang yung sa high pressure, meaning may freon pa daw sa system. tapos nung umalis ako, nawala na ng tuluyan yung aircon! Nung kumuha ako second opinion sa isa pang shop, AC compressor nga daw.

The question is, chamba lang ba na tuluyan nang namatay yung compressor ko while having it checked? Nung morning may lamig pa eh, tapos ngayon tuluyan nang nawala.

Mga sir, yung problema ng Vios 2016 A/T ko hindi lumalamig masyado A/C lalo na kapag masyadong mainit ang panahon. Nung huling pa-maintenance ko sa casa, hindi muna nilagyan ng freon, kailangan daw i-diagnose muna, mga 3-5 days tapos 2,500 bayad. Saka pa lang malalaman ang problema tapos iiwan ulit indefinitely para ayusin.

Tagain kaya ako sa casa o baka pwedeng sa iba na lang ako magpagawa?

Mga gurus, meron na ba nakapag palit ng compressor belt/serpentine belt sa inyo at bigla humina ang lamig ng aircon? Napansin ko kasi hilaw na ngayon ang lamig pagkatapos palitan.

Eto napansin ko, bago ako magpalit ng belt lumalamig pa talaga yun aircon kahit tanghaling tapat. Ngayon na observe ko, hilaw ang lamig nya kapag tanghaling tapat unless i rev ko ng 2-3k bago magbuga ng malamig na hangin.

Kung compressor clutch, ano kaya sir pwede ko icheck para masigurado ko na yun talaga problema? Baka kasi kapag dinala ko sa aircon shop, baka irecommend nila na aircon cleaning lang kailangan at ayoko ipa baklas ang dashboard hangga't maaari.

Baka po hindi nahigpitan mabuti tension ng belt or masyadong malaki belt na nabili?

Noted sir. Isa pala sa naobserve ko kanina, habang nasa traffic, biglang bababa ng sobra ang menor (~500rpm) tapos tataas ulit (~900rpm).

Maraming salamat sa tip sir. Kung slipping compressor clutch problema, dalhin ko nalang ng aircon shop.
