    Never base the state of charge on the appearance of the sight glass. This was a "good enough" ballpark indication of state of charge when cars still used dichlorodifluoromethane or R12 or freon but not for R134a or tetrafluoroethane. They can tell you of their wrong long experience all they can but you never use the sight glass for R134a

    Mga bossing pa-help naman po. Newbie here in tsikot. Yung 2009 hyundai tucson crdi ko nakita kong may bahid ng langis yung hose coming from compressor going sa bakal na connecting sa expansion valve. Sabi nila may leak pero malamig parin po ang buga ng A/C ko kahit 1 week ko nang nakita yung suspected leak. may slight hissing sound din sa loob pag nasa #2 or 3 sya. Ano kaya problem ng aircon ko. worried lang ako baka masira compressor ko Is this really a leak? Thanks Y'all!!!

    the only way to know is to place a manifold gauge on the aircon system, evacuate the system, measure the recovered refrigerant and compared it with the specification, vacuum the system to test it for leaks... if no leaks, refill the refrigerant to specs...

    aircon system has tolerances, it will still work within the specification it was designed with...

    Here now in ceejay's and it looks like the evaporator coil is the problem. Kaching going on in my head ($$$$).

    nagpalinis ako last month lang napansin ko kasi ung filter dryer ko diba may salamin sa ibabawas un.pag naka on AC may circulation ng bubbles madami.at pag nag auto matic na siya.ung bubbles biglang nawawala at nakikita ko na bumababa ung freon ,after na mag on ulit siya lalabas ulit ung mga bulang paikot ikot..

    ibig bang sabihin kulang ung freon na inilagay sa tsikot ko.134A ung naka indicate sa akin.kasi dati bago ko ipalinis hindi ganon ung nakikita ko sa filter dryer ko.halos walang bula talaga.meron man sobrang liit lang at hindi mo halos makita.

    ^ yung sight glass is only visual indication na puno or bawas.

    Kung dati, after palinis, walang bula tapos ngayon meron na, there is a high chance na may leak.

    Pacheck mo using gauge manifold para malaman gano ka kulang karga.

    sight glass is also dependent on ambient temperature... best way to diagnose is a manifold gauge... also new cars has no sight glass anymore...

    I was talking to the a/c tech at ceejays and he said the mazda's a/c systems are the hardest to clean. Aside daw from kelangan Baklas daw 2 pinto, pati dashboard daw tanggal. 3 days daw downtime nyan kaya mahal ang singil

    Iyong ford fiesta at ecosport ganun halos din ata pero iyong focus madali daw

    Ang mga mitsubishi easy daw except for the mirage. Kelangan daw Tanggal 1 pinto

    Ang vios baklas dashboard. Dunno about the altis

    Ang Mga honda ang fairly accessible to clean kaya usually cheaper ang singil nila. Di na kelangan magbaklas ng dashboard according to him
