Aircon Cleaning

Good day. A newbie here in tsikot forum. Question lang po regarding sa aircon, I have 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer GLS (Pizza) na hindi pa nalilinis ang aircon since na purchase ng owner at ako (nakuha ko ang auto mga 2007). So far ok naman ang lakas at lamig ng aircon niya kahit tuwing summer. Ang worry ko lang kasi (correct me if I am wrong) kung magpapalinis ako ng aircon di kaya maapektuhan ang performance ng aircon meaning humina siya o magkaroon ng problems in the future.

Actually I went to Ceejay's last week to have it check and they mentioned that cleaning lang talaga kailangan ng aircon ko. Estimate nila is Php1,500.00 and abot ng 3 hours.

Hope you can share your insights and experience as well.

wow thats 4 years.... long overdue na for cleaning yan bro...

pag di nilinis, me tendency na magkaleak yung evaporator dahil sa kumapit na mga dumi, pag nagtagal tumitigas yon at nagigiging parang kalawang. just imagine yung window-type A/C pinapalinis din para wag masira yung evap niya due to dirt and corrosion..

will affect its performance? depende sa shop ng pinagpalinisan mo kung maayos paggawa nila like they should ensure no contaminants sa reassembly at na vacuum ng maayos, tama quantity and quality nung oil, nhbr o-ring ginamit if me papalitan, at kung magandang freon ikinarga, among others... HTH

kung based sa model pa, 9 years na...

i think wala pa a/c system na tumagal ng ganon... yes its possible but highly exceptional. maybe napalinisan na din yan before... my cent

Well yun kasi yung sinabi ng first owner sa akin. Although im contemplating na rin na talaga palinisan siya kasi kaya lang syempre baka lang magkaroon ng problem sa A/C. Although maganda naman reputation ng Ceejay's dito sa Tsikot. Thanks

maayos naman mga technician sa Ceejay I think wala ka dapat ikabahala. may warranty naman ang trabaho nila. Dati ako gumagawa/service ng aircon sa mga sasakyan namin pero dahil reasonable ang singil at maayos ang trabaho nila sa kanila ko na lang dinala ngayon.
he, he.. tamad na ako maghirap at maglinis ng kamay kasi.

Hi guys! I would like to ask for any suggestion on what shop provides the best aircon cleaning service in Q.C. or Manila? I found one shop from a motorshow exhibit but they charge P3,500 and since we have a van they will charge P7,000. I lost the brochure and I even forgot the name of the shop.

Also I am a bit in doubt if I should have the aircon cleaned. I have read here that there are several airconditioning units that went bad after cleaning.

EEB sa Timog Ave. my wife's cousin's running that. Had my civic cleaned there before.

Current satisfied customer of Ceejay here. Going 2 years since they serviced my rig, eto ang current na lamig:

palinis mo na lang din..... dahil yung dumi ay nakaka corrode ng cooling coil. pag nabutas yan, mas mapapagastos ka pa.
overdue na din yan kasi.

Thanks for the replies, just a follow up. the aircon's output is still cold however I have a feeling that it has not been cleaned before, should I have it cleaned? It is not just the aircon's functionality that I am concerned of but the quality of the air, if I am concerned about the air quality is there a way to clean only the filters or it is always the whole set being cleaned?

Ano sasakyan mo sir? Afaik meron filter for aircon located in the cabin/glove compartment.

Thanks for the reply, my vehicle is a converted Lucida. Since I am only concerned about the air quality, is there any part of the aircon that I can clean to ensure that the air being blown is clean? The aircon's output is still very cool and I am afraid that the temperature might be affected if I have it cleaned by somebody else.

Will it be harmful if I wont let my car AC not checked up for a while? The problem is tumutulo yung oil ng AC. Hindi ko pa po mapapaservice.an yung car for this week. Will it be fine if I'll let it fixed next week na? Thanks po sa mga sasagot

are you referring to cabin air filter located in glove box? if yes, sinasabay yan sa PMS ng car...

Hinde! It won't be as dirty as those old model cars anyway na walang cabin filter. Kung walang sira A/C huwag mo na pa cleaning.

hi fellow tsikoters, can you recommend a shop for AC cleaning of 2012 montero?

yung sanang hindi binabaklas yung dashboard, masyadong prone sa rattling ang dashboard...

a friend suggested BQuick, anyone have experienced with them? TIA

If you recirculate air, make sure you clean the cabin regularly

Availed it on my car before. It did clean the core especially the molds. I think I paid 4k for a sedan. The chemical being used is what makes the service expensive
