it is an electronic module or microprocessor taking inputs as ambient temperature, engine speed, throttle position, coolant temperature, engine rpm, cabin temperature and outputs as magnetic clutch relay, condenser fan relay, hi pressure switch and low pressure switch. some inputs or outputs are not included. some are more complex. in some systems called climate control, the system is more complicated
