AC compressor problem

Good day!

Pinatignan ko AC ko sa aircon shop dahil lumalamig siya pero in the long run parang nagiging hilaw ang lamig. Ng nacheck ung AC nag ha-high pressure daw and probable cause is ung compressor and need to replace ung katol sa loob.

Any suggestion kung tama ba ung sinabi nung repairshop? Wala daw sila parts para sa compressor ng Honda Civic vti 96 ko sa ngaun. Magkano kaya parepair nun sa ibang shop? Ano ba mas maganda, bumili ako ng surplus or repair lang nung compressor?

based on your facts (hilaw ang lamig), you have to check all possible causes....

1. insufficient freon - need to charge more..
2. evaporator (katol as yu hav reffered to) - it could be dirty making the fan/blower cannot effectively push the air through it. simple cleaning will do and no need to replace its, unless its already leaking which can also be the reason why yu hav less freon;
3. weak compressor - surplus is ok esp if yu know how to determine a good one... original is too costly but advisable.... if yu know a reputable shop who has parts, yu can also have it repaired... hope it helps

How about the expansion valve, does it also affect the performance of AC? Nakaka affect din ba sa hilaw na lamig and high pressure?

Wala namang leak dahil natest nila ung system and meron pang freon.

Ung katol na sinabi na repair shop is katol inside the compressor and has to be replaced. Medyo matagal bago mag-automatic ung compressor kaya need to be repaired. Magkano kaya cost nung katol plus the repair?

Yung "katol" ay yung spiral chamber sa loob ng compressor na nagcocompress ng refrigerant. This is for scroll-type Sanden compressors which are OEM for Honda Civic.

nagpalinis po ako ng AC. Palit drier worth 150 at expansion valve worth 350 at oil daw na worth 50 pesos na nilagay sa bote ng mineral water na maliit...mga walang tatak po. yung mga pinalitan ko pong piyesa ay may mga tatak po. after po magpalinis, mejo di na gano kalamig yung AC ko.. malamig pero di na gaya talaga nung dati na malamig talaga! di tulad dati na masakit sa balat yung lamig.
tapos pag nakatodo yung temp,di sa nagootomatic. naka taas lang yung menor.parang di niya mareach yung lamig siguro. ewan ko po. binuhus-buhusan pa ng taga shop yung condenser para mag automatic.
bago po yung freon and my compressor is 507 daw. sanden ata yun.. help naman po kung tingin niyong dahil sa mumurahing expansion valve ang prob. yung pinaitan kong expansion valve is "eaton" or "eyton" ata... im not sure...

pinacheck ko sa ibang shop,sabi nag hhigh pressure daw.
ilagay ko lang daw muna dapat sa gitna yung temp at obserbahan at dapat daw maganda yung expansion valve na binili ko at mejo kulang din daw ng karga ng freon...
sabi dun sa shop dapat mga nasa 750 yung expansion valve.
yung drier ok lng daw kahit yung umurahin.

backyard tropa lang po ang naglinis ng AC ko. ayaw ko na ibalik sa kanya.

mga bro paki tulong ang air con ko pina ayos ko, pinalitan ang expantion valve may oil pa linagay sa hindi ko alam na parts, pati drier pinalita at nilinis pa lahat ng parts ng aircon, pro nang ayos na, linagyan din ng freon total amount na bayad is 5900, kong naka idle may lumalagatic sa compressor,, sabi nya may diperensia daw ang compressor. sa una malamig pro after one month na wala na ang lamig, pina tingnan ko sa ibang tiknisian sabi nila walang sira ang compressor kondi kulang lang sa linis sa loob ng compressor at sa ibang parte na dinadaanan ng freon. gaano ka reliable ito kasi balak ko sanang bumili ng compressor kahit na second hand lang.
at saan ako makabili nito ng mura.. may car is mazda 323 glxi 97 model.
may other option is sabi sa kabila, linis lang daw at palitan ng expansion valve, drier, freon, ...
