Built around Toyota’s new “Cyber Sumo” design language, the latest Hilux adopts a bolder front end with C-shaped LED headlamps, a wider honeycomb-pattern grille, and a redesigned rear featuring updated lighting and an integrated deck-side step for easier access to the cargo bed.
Each variant also gets its own styling. The Conquest features a more rugged front bumper, while the Hilux BEV distinguishes itself with an enclosed front grille designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
Inside, the Hilux receives a redesigned cabin with a more modern, driver-focused layout. The Conquest and V variants are equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the G and E variants come with an 8-inch display supporting wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The range-topping Conquest adds synthetic leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Panoramic View Monitor, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Multi-Terrain Select, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
Every diesel-powered Hilux is powered by Toyota’s 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbo diesel engine, producing 204 hp. Manual transmission variants develop 420 Nm of torque, while automatic models produce up to 500 Nm. Depending on the variant, buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.
Toyota has also introduced Electric Power Steering (EPS) on the V and Conquest variants, reducing steering effort at low speeds while improving steering precision during everyday driving. The G and E variants continue to use hydraulic power steering.
The Hilux continues to ride on a ladder-frame chassis with double wishbone front suspension and a rigid rear axle with leaf springs, maintaining the pickup’s load-carrying capability while improving ride comfort. Ground clearance reaches up to 312 mm across the diesel lineup.
Joining the lineup is the Hilux 2.8 4×4 BEV, marking the first fully electric Hilux offered by Toyota. Unlike the diesel models, the BEV rides on a dedicated ladder-frame chassis engineered specifically for electric propulsion while retaining the off-road capability expected of the Hilux name.
Its dual-motor electric drivetrain produces a combined 196 hp, driving all four wheels through a permanent electric all-wheel-drive system. Power comes from a 59.2-kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a claimed driving range of up to 315 kilometers under the NEDC cycle. The Hilux BEV supports both AC Type 2 and DC CCS2 fast charging, and includes a complimentary home wall charger with installation.
Pricing starts at ₱1,772,000 for the Hilux 2.8 4×2 E A/T, while the flagship Hilux 2.8 4×4 Conquest A/T is priced at ₱2,611,000. The Hilux 2.8 4×4 BEV is available from ₱2,990,000.
