For the windshield washer fluid, I've been using a brand called Rivers I bought in gallon jugs online.

Before that, I used to have just plain filtered drinking water in the washer reservoir. It worked sorta fine but after trying out a proper washer fluid, I'm never going back.

Anyway, these jugs still cost a pretty penny so I'm looking into using those tablet alternatives. You drop 1 tablet in a 4-liter container and let it dissolve for 15-20 mins, making sure that everything is fully dissolved before using it in the car.

Anybody has anything good or bad to say about them? Any particular brand/seller I should look for or avoid?

(post mo lang binasa ko... noticed na mahaba na itong thread)

my detailer hates soap and any product sa washer fluid... distilled water lang daw gamitin ko.

problem ko now is that Toyota also uses a washer fluid kaya di ko madala dala sa kanya Zenix namin

Washer fluid is not overrated, as I found out. I did the distilled water thing several years ago but water alone is not good at dissolving non-water-soluble stuff like most road grime, bugs, oily/greasy smudges, etc. Like I said, it sorta works but not as well as a properly formulated washer fluid.

And I'm not talking about homemade washer fluid from dish soap or shampoo either. They're unusable when it's not raining (to rinse off the soap). Otherwise, it causes streaking.

Need pa ba ng total draining yung reservoir if lalagyan o pupunuin ng washer fluid mula distilled water? Tia.
