Sir try mo hanapin website ng 3M (I think I posted a link a few pages back). Andun technical specs ng 3M films.
Yung ST, HP, at BC, may iba ibang variants pa din iyan usually named as to how much light they transmit (the darkest being 5, e.g. ST5, HP5, etc.).
I had the Starex tinted today at Jaffas. For the windshield (seamless) and front windows I used 3M CS35 (at least yun ang nakalagay dun sa roll) which is the lightest shade. All the other windows used CS5 (aka limo tint or super black). Php4,700 for everything.
I'm still waiting for the bubbles and minor imperfections to resolve naturally (they usually do).
At least better than the crap Hyundai Quezon Ave used.

March 20th, 2007 09:58 PM #3The company i was recommending b4 L.A. cars has a tint room specializing in full fronts. They just sent me an email that they have this new clear tint from 3m which has 95% heat rejection and is better than vkool. Try to give them a call, maybe they could assist you. Here's their website www.lacaraccessories.com or tel 817-8617 owner is Amrit or Ms. Maria

May 1st, 2007 08:27 PM #6Guys, just got the following quotation in Alabang this morning (for a Lancer 95):
Camspeed:
Sunguard - P3,500, super black all windows and rear, medium black front.
SureSeats:
3M - P4,000, super black all windows and rear, medium black front.
*Includes scraping of old tint for both.
Are the prices reasonable? Which of the two should I get?
Also for 3M, do you recommend using magic tint for the windshield instead?

We just had a full-size SUV tinted using Platinum brand films. Magic neutral on the windshield and magic dark on the rest of the windows. Jaffas SRP was about Php4,000 (your haggling skills may vary). Windshield was one piece.
I just noticed that the Platinum magic dark seems to have a similar look with the new 3M Black Chrome films. At least that's how it looked like to me.
The install quality was good also.

February 8th, 2008 05:44 PM #9Hi LA Cars
I drive a 01 City, currently on 3M magic tints. Driver's side window is peeling, so I might as well replace everything.
I'm looking for tints with more heat rejection, while maintaining great visibility. I pass near the pier at night, where there are no streetlights and plenty of people suddenly crossing. So priority is still visibility.
What's your recommendation? How much would it cost?
Thanks!

February 8th, 2008 05:45 PM #10I may be a few who's not satisfied with L.A.
I waited 5 hours to get my car tinted, apparently by the younger guy who isn't as experienced. I didn't get to check the work properly after it's done because it was 8pm already, and the lights in the vicinity weren't so good.
The next day I checked, daming bubbles and even one "butas" near the rear view mirror front panel. I was busy and only managed to go back after around three weeks to have it checked.
The owner was quite arrogant and asked if I read the instruction they gave not to move the windows for a certain period of time, as if I'm an idiot who got his car tinted for the first time in my life. He told me to come back after a week to have it checked, because he thinks the bubbles will dissapear by then.
After almost two months, the bubbles are still as many as it was that day. I didn't bother to go back, partly because of the owner's arrogance, and also not wanting to waste so much time to get it redone if ever.
I went to that store because of this thread, unfortunately this is also where I would vent out my disappointment.
I would never go back to that shop and would not recommend it to anybody.
It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
