How is the quality of service at Solarguard along Santolan in San Juan? Has anyone here availed of their services?
Heard about Jaffas somewhere here and they quoted 4k vs 6k from Winterpine for a 3m tint with one piece on the front windshield. Can't understand the 2k difference. Is Jaffas a certified 3M installer? Any other Banawe shops that you can recommend?
    Thanks.

AFAIK, Jaffas is not certified.

May alam ka pa bang certified 3m installer aside from Winterpine? I saw that 3m ad promo on the papers last year ata and the authorized dealers were listed below it. Anyone here still has a copy of that somewhere? Need to justify and compare pricing ni winterpine. Thanks.

BTW, is it harder to put one piece at the backglass than on the windshield? Yung good installers ba should be able to install one piece on the back glass as well as the front? Car is Sentra FE.
    Thanks.

    Hi there,

I just joined this forum. What i have at my car is super black tint on the sides and for the rear then 1-way silver at the front. The interior doesn't take in much heat and the air-con cools the entire car in a few minutes even at noontime. By the way, I use our brand here at our company. Carryboy.

Try the store I highly recommend LA cars

    Very good service and quality

This is from their website: www.LAcaraccessories.com

L.A. Cars specializes in tint, car audio, multimedia, lights and a variety of accessories. Our tint room is indoor, air-conditioned, air purified and pollution free. Our room purifier ionizes the dust and smoke particles to the ground hence making the tint application - dust and smoke free which compared to other stores, tint- application is done outdoors and is exposed to variety of particles that will appear obvious on the tinted glass for the duration or life span of the tint.

We carry several kinds of tint, from solar controlled, heat shielding ( IR Film), Safety and security to privacy protection films. Aside from automotive films we also carry for commercial and residential tints. Our brands include Solargard premium, Polar, 3M, Sungard, V-kool, RikeCool, Neuvision, Platinum, Titanium and Sunmask. Majority of the tints are scratch proof and made from either Europe or the U.S. So if your’e looking for good quality tint, professional installers and an affordable price, call us at 817-86-17 or drop by our store for a free consultation.

Guys di ba yung MRT minsan naglalagay ng ads na naco-cover ang windows but when you're inside nakikita mo pa rin ang labas? Pwede kaya sa car yun?

For those who have dark tint on the windshield.
Before I had dark tint all around, even the front. But I had to remove the front tint because at night, I couldn't see! My visibility went down a lot!

What's a good wattage bulb I should use? Also, will bumper lights help with driving visibility by a lot? If so, how much should I expect to pay for lights on my bumper? and what kind should I get?

Before, if I used my highbeams at night when the roads were empty, I could see perfectly, but, with low beams that's where I had problems.Thanx

that's the trade-off of having dark tints in front lalo na kung black tints. try all weather or yellow high wattage bulbs around 80-90W but the result will not be as bright as it should be. kung talagang hirap try using magic medium at front.

If you want a stellar tint job go to Winterpine. Most of our vehicles are tinted at Jaffas. Minsan talaga may mga maliliit na imperfections. Pero wala namang naging problem regarding huge bubbles, etc. Minsan may small scratches din. I guess that's what you get when you try to tint a panoramic (curved) windshield on a 30 year old car with no cuts. Sila din nagtint ng Pajero ko back in '01 and ok pa din up to now. No fading, no bubbles. Yung gasgas ako na nakagasgas the glass got hit by some luggage I was carrying. No complaints also.

Kapag 3M HP or Black Chrome, tumataginting na Php9,100.00 daw all around (seamless windshield, 2 pc on back glass).

I'm thinking of dark (ST5?) for the rear part and lighter shade (ST35?) for the front windows and winshield.

Ok ba ang 3M ST series? Wala naman ako masyadong high expectations. Privacy lang while maintaining acceptable outward visibility.

    Big coincidence!
Nagpa tint rin ako kay Jaffas this week and the same tint na solargard at 2.9k nga lang. Napamahal pa ng 200 .
Di rin satisfied sa front install since may 3 lines na tig 1-1.5 inches ang haba and around a quarter of a cm ang kapal sa upper right corner. It took him close to 3 hours to tint my car. Ganun ba katagal? I plan to bring it back to them next week to have the lines fixed OR get warranty for it.
I hope I dont get the same treatment as mynvidia.

IMO, as long you can leave with the imperfections of the tint then ok narin, besides the very cheap price, la ata talagang perfect na pag install ng tint even mine that was installed in an enclosed room with 2 installers carefully doing my tint. may mga defects parin and it took me almost 3 hrs. rin for a sedan.
3 hrs. for me is quite long pero kita mo talgang pinagtyagaan, depende sa installer yan kung mamadaliin nila.

Try LA Cars in Makati may tint room sila kasi it minimize the dust and bubbles that may occur.

Additional feedback, I noticed there is a computer printed mark on the tint that Jaffas installed on my car. Sunbloc ang nakalagay. I ordered for Solargard tint.
Kaya pala mas mura compared to the Solargard installer sa San Juan. Di pala Solargard and ininstall. Im not sure where this brand is made or if its any good. All trying to earn a quick buck?
Saw in a mymitsu thread that Sunbloc tint is just 2.2k one piece in a different shop (do sunbloc tint search on google) vs the 2.9k i paid Jaffas.
Very incovenient for me to go back. Good thing di ganun kalaki ang nagastos.
Hopefully, it was an honest mistake on their part (think positive pa rin) and the tint will do its work of blocking heat (w/c is why I had tint installed on my car).

    re: registration sticker

    tinatanggal yun tapos i-laminate.

BTW, when we had our car tinted(winterpine), it did'nt take 3 hours to finish the job. Matagal ata masyado yun.
