I need your advise guys, as we are aware marami ng mga naglipanang holdapers, mas safe ba or deterrent ba sa hold-ups, if ever magpa-Tint ako ng window ko?

    bro eyescube,

imho, tinting windows would help a lot but not really an assurance. it's like avoiding being the usual target. given two vehicles, one with tint and one without, most likely target would be the one without tint (kasi kita nila kung sino/anu yung victim nila). if you can prevent a robber in eyeing you or your car as the next victim, then tinting maybe the solution. don't give them (robbers) the chance to make that choice.

double pupose din 'to, security and privacy (joke...)

    cheers

Tinted windows also deter against kotong-cops.

Be aware, though, that if the perpetrator has gained access to your vehicle, then no one outside might notice what is going on inside the vehicle

Ano yung maganda yung Dark Tint ba? kasi po yung akin kita pa rin sa loob milder tint ang nakalagay, how much will it cost sa pagpatint ulit for a REVO? any idea?

Madyo mahal magpa tint ng revo as opposed to sedans, simply because of the larger glass area. I'd guess it'll set you back around P4000+ depending on the brand.

And yes, having that thin film of plastic will give you a certain measure of security.

Kung patungan nyo na lang po ng lighter shade that could turn the tints into more darker shade.

I will personally go with mild tints.

Kapag mild, a little bit of everything ang makukuha mo. :D

3M Medium Magic tints. Darker shade during daytime clear enough to use during night driving.

When you say Magic, is this the silver, one-way, mirror tints? Or pati ba yung mga Panther Black series, Magic rin ba tawag dun?

paolorenzo:: 3M Magic tints vary shades depending on the light reflecting on the mirrors, varying shades differ from light magic to medium magic shades. Panther Black series remain black all the time even at night.

e36speeder::: The effective front windshield tints are the one way types or lighter shade than your other tinted windows. Even the Panther Black series will allow people to see you from your front windshield.

Just saw this article in the inquirer today about checkpoints which will keep an eye on heavily-tinted vehicles. :swear:

Kaka-inis!
