hello guys. nagpost na ako dito sa thread na ito a month ago siguro or several weeks ago. pinakabitan ko solargard yung hi ace namin superblack lahat except yung harap , yung sumunod sa superblack kinabit. first napansin ko nga mas nawala yung init lalo na pag tanghaling tapat. kasi ang tint ko before is sunguard napansin ko lang sa sunguard talagang kumukupas. doble tint ko dun sa hi ace before. 3m magic light yung unang tint then sunguard na medium ata yung pinatong. so pumapasok ang init talaga. at kita ako sa loob which pag gabi hindi ko gusto lalo na magisa ka.
nung kinabitan ng solargard masnawala talaga yung init. pero comparing it with my other rides na nakasuper black din. like 2 of my other rides 3m ang brand yung isa platinum same lang halos ang effect sa heat rejection. pansin ko lang na halos same. im not saying hindi ok ang solargard dahil since may mga stores ako nakausap na nirerecommend solargard i really tried it since ilang hundreds lang difference niya sa tint ng 3m.
so my conclusion basta po super black mas hindi mainit. platinum man. 3m o solargard. harap ko lagi is yung sumunod sa superblack. medium ata tawag nila dun.
yung ibang nagsabi na pansin din nila na mas less ang heat na pumapasok ano po ba ang tint nyo dati? super black din ba?

well good for you sir.
yung old tint ko for our ride was 3M medium dark na galing sa dealer. nung medyo nag simula tong grabeng init medyo napapansin ko parang di na effective yung film and nagkukulay violet na siya, which i was not expecting kase nga i was thinking maganda yung brand. a loyal tsikoteer adviced to try solargard and the rest is history na...

i went there again the other day for tinting of my vehicle. due for replacement, bubbling and violet tint na yung 3m w/c is 8yrs of use na. i opted for quantum 14 sides and back and quantum 19 for the front. sayang i could go for quantum 14 at front, at maliwanag pa din idrive sa gabi.

Currently using 3M casa medium black on my civic - no tints sa windshield aside from the top strip.
Was quoted 5.8k at the Santolan store to replace these with Solargard tints, along with adding full windshield tint.
Ang init kasi lalo ngayon summer. Would I notice significantly less heat if I just have the windshield tinted instead with clear tint? (quoted 2.7k)
Also, what shade of solargard would be comparable to the casa 3M medium blacks pero a wee bit lighter? Medyo madilim talaga sa loob ng kotse e.
Thanks.

i'm using solargard hp supreme 16 for the windshield. you could opt for solargard hp supreme 16 or xg 20 its their medium black version. if you want the magic effect you choose between quantum 19 and quantum 14 for the windshield.

How does one know if its the original solargard tint? Other than going to authorised shops? Unfortunately dito sa area namin wala pang solargard dealer (o di ko lang nakita ) but i have seen shops that says they have the original solargard tints. So, just to make sure na original nga yung ikakabit nila, is there a way to confirm this? Like 3m holograms, does solargard also have have unique markings to verify it? TIA

April 11th, 2010 06:03 PM #59I was thinking of having the front retinted to something na solargard 70% visibility or something. Do they have anything even clearer?
Masyadong madilim na for us yung mga 19 sa windshield eh.
We'll also look into the magic effect.
If we're going to have our windshield retinted with something clear-ish, would it be possible to put a dark strip on the top of the windshield and then place the clear tints over it? Para hindi nakakasilaw during summer driving.

the Quantum37 would be the really safe bet for the full front windshield IMO... magic effect but a wee bit lighter ...
laking tulong pa sa aircon ng auto...
i've been hearing V-kool is very good... but too expensive... not cool...
cguro naman mas mababa quote kapag pa-tint sa pick-up, laki kse windows nung sa FD e...
Choice I would have made as well.
