Rainbow on windshield how to remove?

Hi guys,

May rainbow sa windshield ko and gusto ko tangalin. Kaya ba siyang tangalin ng eagle one glass cleaner 20/20 vision? Medyo alangan akong bumili kasi baka di naman kaya eh medyo mahal pa naman. Anung advice nyo?

Try rubbing alcohol and use a news paper to rub it out, then clean it with a window cleaner to get the film off. After cleaning apply Rain-x anti-fog preperation for the inside of the windsheild. Usaully that Rainbow color your talking about this is caused by your heater core leaking antifreeze on the windshield defroster.

na experience ko rin na pag umuulan, maski na maganda ang hagod ng wipers ko, meron pa rin parang white streaks (i think from the inside) na nawawala lang after i off ang wiper. para dito ba yang rain X? Thanks.

Yung rain-x anti-fog repellant ba po same lang sa elevo rain fly rain and snow repellant? or magkaiba po sila?

Matagal nang hindi nagbebenta ng PYLON Strip-IT(tm) yung Concorde. The last time I bought a tube from them was in 2000 pa ata.

That stuff is potent! (The instructions at the back of the box requires you to wear rubber gloves...hehehehe..)

It works as good as Strip-IT and with less elbow grease required. Yun nga lang, it dried up the skin of my hand a couple of days later... hindi kasi ako nag gloves eh! :D

Yup nakita ko nga ito kanina 2++.00php may kasamang sponge medyo natakot nga lang kasi ako dahil kailangan mag gloves hehe. Ok po ba sya? natangal ba yung rainbow sa windshield mo? Try ko ito sa sabado kung gagana inform ko kayo sa results!

If the rainbow you're talking about is a wavy vertical pattern that has a slightly multicolored hue from certain angles, part nga yan ng tempered glass. You won't be able to do anything about it.

However, if the rainbow you're talking about is the tracks left behind by your wipers -- then you may be able to do something about it. Kung hindi naman siya gasgas na galing sa wiper, then malamang water mark + silicone + road grime buildup lang yan. The Elevo will make short work of that... However, kung gasgas yan from the wiper, you'll have no other recourse but to have your windshields buffed/polished.

Ito po yung vertical pattern na sinasabi nyo po. Hmmm second hand ko kasi nakuha yung car and may ganun na sya pagkakuha ko. Balak ko kasi sana magpatint (yung parang magic tint na color silver) kaso iniisip ko baka pagkatint ko ng winshield ko lalo maging visible yung vertical wavy pattern kaya gusto ko muna sana tangalin.

Ang iniisip ko na option ngayon is yung elevo kaso mukhang di na kaya. Gusto ko din sana ipapolish sa big berts ewan ko lang kung kaya pa tangalin. Tnx po sa reply nyo.

reflection lang yan because of the glass lalo na pag basa.

basta pili ka ng magandang shade like medium black (kung kaya ng mata) or neutral gray. sigurado yan :2thumbsup:

wala pa ko nakitang nag rainbow na medium black or neutral gray na windshield.

Yup, wala ka nang magagawa dyan. Hindi naman sya mas magiging visible if lagyan mo ng tint. Kung gusto mo talagang mawala yan, palit windshield ka, gawin mong laminated.

I just want you all guys to know how your posts have helped me a lot in solving whats seemed to be unresolvable car problems regarding rainbow on car windshield that caused me sleepless nights and anxiety and not to mention long hours in car care products stores. Daghang Salamat!

Anyway sayang, ngayon ko lang nabasa toh, nagpapalit ako kanina ng tint, may parang rainbow rin sakin na vertical sa gitna. Charge to experience na lang... May way ba na matangal toh?
