I had the unfortunate experience of having welding sparks drop on my windshield. The marks (4 as far as I can tell) do not hinder my vision in any way but is a bit of an eye sore when I look at the windshield from outside. Furthermore, I think some of the molten metal embedded itself on the glass surface since I can see one of the marks starting to look like it's rusting. I don't think the marks are that deep though.

Apart from replacing the windshield, what's a much cheaper remedy for this? Will having the glass professionally detailed make it less visible?

Will there be any effect on the windshield's structural integrity in the long term?

Hassle kasi magpalit ng windshield. Aside from having to replace the tint, it's really hard to get hold of a new Friendship route sticker. I've also read some stories of problems (poor seal, wipers won't wipe properly, etc.) with replacement windshields.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.
