To remove condensation from the windshield during rainy season simply turn on the demister for the rear and do not recirculate aircon airflow to let cool air from the outside into your car cabin and wipe that mist hands free

with the aircon on, the mist is probably on the outside of the windshield.
with the aircon off, mist forms on the inside of all the glass windows.
in both cases, the demister can get rid of the mist on its glass.

Mist from the outside will be wiped clear by the wiper

Mist from the inside will develop inside as long as its cooler from the outside of the car cabin it doesnt matter whether the aircon is on or off. Its like a glass of water with ice, mist develop outside the glass as the ice cools the inner part of the glass

Demister deals with the rear glass only

To clear the mist developed in the front windshield all the driver has to do is to flip the airflow switch to "not to circulate" to allow cooler air from the outside of the car cabin to wipe that mist clear
