Some polymer sealants like Liquid Glass needs a really clean, oil-free and wax-free surface.

Is it possible to use Liquid Glass over a glaze? Such as 3M's Imperial Hand Glaze? Or should I put Liquid Glass over a really clean surface (newly washed, wax-free)?

all waxes and sealants REQUIRE a clean surface to adhere to... sealants are just more picky... they need to bond with the paint, and not on any wax or oily surface.

with detailing, nothing is impossible. I've personally tried layering a sealant over a glaze, and the results are great, but the durability really suffered. I did this on my trunk, half of it on glazed surface, other half on non-glaze... the non-glazed surface lasted about 2 months while the glaze surface lasted 1-1/2 weeks only.

    Your call.
