HELP / ADVICE NEEDED: I am getting a Montero Sport 2015 (Quartz Brown). The free tint is the 3M Metallic Shade (MS). I am thinking of putting an MS 35 tint on the windshield and MS 5 on the side windows and the rear. Reason for this is we want as much privacy without sacrificing driving visibility especially at night.

1. What do you think of the proposed tinting scheme? Will it look good? Will I have problem driving?
2. For those who have 3M MS tints all over, have you experienced radio signal interference? How about mobile signal?
3. Any other thoughts?

Don't get the free tint try to convert it to other freebies. Free tint sucks, the one they installed on my montero which they said is 3M, doesn't even have a 3M imprinted on the tint, also the free "3M" tint isn't that all too good for me, will have to re-tint the car. Try to look for other premiere tint like vcool or huper optik

Mine is 35 windsheild and 10 all around. I decided on 10 precisely because my eyesight aint good and i dont want to sacrifice visibility.

35 up front does the job for me. Actually I always choose the lightest tint for the windshield. Ang trade off is a lower heat rejection than a 25.

5 is the darkest right. Again if you have good eyesight go for it. Most of the vehicles i see have the darkest shade all around. It really depends on capability.

Hirap lang if you start with the darkest then end up having difficulty driving, you would need to replace it or make an ugly cut out on the side. Whereas you can easily add a visor if you think you need more privacy.

As to loss of signal. I cant really compare as u have no basis. But signal strenght when im using smart gps and cellular data is not a prob. My abs cbn tv box also works fine.

3. BC - "Magic"
4. FX - popular 3m black

IMHO. If budget is not an issue, CS Panther is the most versatile of the bunch.
As they say Black Is Still The Best Tint! It looks nice in true black grayish shade, unlike FX or BC which is really brownish greenish.
Great heat rejection than FX or MS (but BC still the highest in this one).
Road visibility is much better than FX, MS or BC which can be cloudy during sunnydays.
Won't disrupt phone signals. Which is the main problem of BC! I remember parked on a basement one time where reception is weak. There's almost no phone signal at all when I'm using the car w/ BC! On the other hand when I use one w/ CS or FX in that same parking spot I can still text and sometimes even call inside the car.
No fading issue! This is its signature strength. Unlike other black tints which will eventually turn blue or purple when exposed to sunlight, the CS Panther will stay just that, black. :batman:

Had mine done today at Roadstar ATC. Got BC10 on all sides including the quarter glass and BC35 for the windshield. They charged me 4500. plus 100 tip to the installer. I got a silver honda accord and it looks great naman. Have not tested the phone signal though

Medyo mahal. Inabot lang ako ng 6k for a crv gen1 considering mas malaki yung crv sa mirage. try mo sa roadstar makati dun ako nagpatint. 3m cs 05 all around except sa front windshield where i installed 3m cs 20

hello po. will 3m bc20 matches white? i purchased white swift yesterday and i chose bc20 shade for all sides including front windshield. my options are 3m fx-st and bc series. i think i still have time to change my tint since it is not installed yet. hoping to get some inputs. thanks a lot!

Naubos ko na laht ng shop sa na alam ko sa Bulacan. Wala talaga nagkakabit ng CS series. Hindi ko mailuwas sa manila dahil wala pako OR/Cr eh hay

Last week, nagpa-install ako ng 3M BC 35 (Magic, Light) sa windshield ng Mitsubishi ASX. Price was P2,000 at Winterpine, Araneta Ave, QC. Kasama na dun pagtanggal ng old tint.

Expect price for 3M FX ST series to be cheaper.

Nagpainstall nako full coverage ng tint. 6.1k inabot. 3M CS Series sa Team Car, Banawe. CS35 Windshield then CS20 na lahat sa Mirage HB ko.

Laking ginhawa. Kahit gabi maliwanag ok na ok yung view from the inside. Unlike before na US gila yung tint ko, kahit katawan ng auto ko hindi ko makita sa dilim hehe

Mr small mga 1500 siguro wag Sa better magpgawa they suck in installing. Had to go to alabang across the church near town center.

One supplier was charging 6500 then I looked around Ayon 5300. With removal na started at 130 finished around 345
