I have a 2005 S40. Original front shocks & suspension parts from the casa are quite pricey so am wondering if you guys can reco aftermarket or replacement brands. I asked 2 repair shops already but they say that aftermarket/replacement brands are rare kasi konti lang ang Volvo sa Pinas, di gaya ng Benz at BMW na puede ang Bilstein, Bosch, etc. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

Try mo Speedlab, Bilstein importer across Mitsubishi at Q Avenue. Check the White Pages.

Or try to look for KAYABA 334842/43, pwede sa Volvo S40.

Thanks Marg. Yung Kayaba, puede ba yun sa bagong S40? In other words, kaya ba ng Kayaba? heheh Coz from what I've heard, the 1st gen S40 could take Mitsu or Jap-made parts bec it was a product of a Volvo-Mitsu joint venture in the past. Yung bagong S40 was developed under Ford kaya ibang-iba na raw ang parts. I was asking around kung puede ang parts ng Focus but a friend told me that the only thing they have in common is the platform. Thanks.

My pure Euro S60 has a lot of Jap parts. Kaya ng Kayaba, but thats the model yu can buy in the US, I dont know kung meron dito.

Thanks again Marg. If the website is any indication, Speedlab looks very impressive. Kaso, malayo lang sa akin coz I'm from Makati. Maybe I can consult on a Sat. And if the work runs late, I can run across the street where there's this mythological flying horse.
