Hey sup man...I have a 1998 Volvo S70 T5 as my daily driver here in US, it has 100,000+ mileage now and still going strong. It is a sleeper and fun to drive.
I also bought a used 1998 Volvo S70 2.5 when I visited the Philippines 2years ago, it was beaten up a little bit so I purchased parts from IPD and FCP and restored it to its original state now its fully functional. All electronics were upgraded and fixed the ABS control module as well. I also slapped a stock original volvo spoiler. Suspensions were all upgraded to Bilstein. When I first purchased the car the coolant overflow bubbles up after driving so I said I guess there is an issue with the cylinder head or gasket itself. So to make the long story short, a complete top overhaul was done replaced all parts, valve, valve seal, gasket, water pump, timing belt, and all the tensioner etc.

Well too bad...before all the engine works were completed I returned back to US and did not have the chance to take it for a spin. When my parents visited PI recently last January they told me that it was running great. I cannot wait to visit PI again and take that car for a spin and prolly we race and chill.

The Volvo S70 is doing excellent. I visited PI last January 2012 and took it for a spin and cant complain about it. The shop that worked on the my volvo from engine down to the smallest detail did a fantastic job! After carefully inspecting the car and noted all the parts that needs to be replaced or repaired, I purchased all the parts from here and shipped it in PI.
Here are the works that I have done to my S70.
    1. changed all the engine supports
    2. changed all brake rotors, all brake lines to stainless steel braided ones, repair kits in all 4 calipers, and brake pads
    3. changed tie rod ends both inner and outer
    4. repacked its cv and changed all CV boots
    5. changed steering rack rubber boot
    6. changed all front and rear suspension including mounting as well as sway bar links
    7. restored the stock rims all 4 of them
    8. change trunk support
    9. Top overhaul, all the works including timing belt and its component
    10. flushed radiator and changed upper and lower hoses
    11. repair/replaced 2 power window regulators
    12. replaced all 4 doors power door lock actuators
    13. changed and repaired glove box cover
    14. changed all external window scraper
    15. changed all 4 rubber door proofing
    16. changed cabin air filter
    17. replaced mud guards at the front and installed a new at the back
    18. changed all power window and door lock switches
    19. installed a stock front fog light to look like a T5
    20. changed all non functioning dashboard switches
    21. changed ignition switch because it was acting up
    22. changed thermostat, engine coolant sensor and PCV system
    23. changed auto transmission stick shift button
    24. changed all tail light as well as USDM front park lights, the one with amber
    25. I also changed all the interior door panels
These are some of the things that I have done to upgrade as well as to bring the car to its original state and or condition. As I have said I spent countless hours going to car salvage yards collecting the parts I needed and spent a lot of dollars purchasing new parts.
My dad knew a a very good technician from mitsubishi motors so he did part of the job but the engine, suspension and brake works were all done by a shop in san fernando la union whom my dad has a connection. I also bought a chilton volvo s70 manual that were used to guide the technicians who worked on the car. I would say the technicians who worked on the car were darn very good if not outstanding.
The car is on top shape, when I drove it in North Luzon Expressway I was playing with a 2011 chevy suburban "racing back and forth".
Next Job will be replacing/upgrading my driver seat and maybe replacing my steering wheel with a mint stock ones.
I will be visiting PI again this coming July so let me know...
