Just saw the Jetta (the ₱850k variant) yesterday at a mall. I came away very impressed with the value you can get for its price. Panalo yung features.

Is it possible to make the jetta look like a poor man's audi A4? Not naman outright imitation. More on sa stance na mapapa second look ka till u see the vw badge.

How is your horn/busina? Same ba tayo na sounds like putpot ng magpuputo?

Busina horn is good already. European yung tone. It sounds different inside vs outside if the car. Some Mercedes have similar horn

    It's true. The mux 4x4 a/t 2.5 was offered with a 300k discount.

With regards to the recent sale of some of the local VW models, Ayala dealerships usually offer big discounts on car models which are slower moving on their inventory. If your timing is right, you can get around 300-400k discount on a Honda Accord/Odyssey/Pilot or the models of VW (Jetta, Golf, Tiguan, Touran, Touareg). They don't advertise it but are more targeted for repeat customers or folks who walk-in on ther showrooms. Ayala employees also are offered some big discounts and lower loan rates on Honda/VW/Isuzu vehicles thus making a good proposition for both employer and employees.

Kasi giving huge discount sa jetta at golf na nasa midprice segment lang namiscalcula nila market.

If they are earning but not at the profit they envisioned.

Sa honda naman madami complaints sa service owned by ayala group = honda makati, alabang. pasig.

If you are from the south tapos dadayo ka pa sa honda quezon ave or tandang sora eh something is really wrong sa service.

It's better to go to a dealer to check their special offers on some slow-moving models on their inventory.

Found these pleasant surprises (hidden features) in the Jetta, that are not common in other cars:

    1. You can turn on the radio even without inserting the key.

    2. You can roll the windows up or down remotely even without the key inserted.

    3. When you put the car in reverse (for parking), the passenger side mirror automatically tilts down to see the curb (very useful feature, previously only in Audi, BMW, Merc and other premium brands). It returns back to normal after.

    4. When you close and lock the car, any movement inside (say you left a dog or a child), the car will alarm. So if the windows are forced open, any movement inside will trigger an alarm.

    5. Jetta has recuperative mode which uses braking to recharge the battery (improves fuel efficiency).

    6. All four windows have roll full up or full down function from driver controls or from remote key.

    7. Remote can open the trunk without opening the four door locks. Closing the trunk auto-locks the whole car.

And the best part, my 1.4 TSI (gas) A/T does 18km/liter on highway (80kph average). My friends 1.6 TDI (diesel) A/T does 25km/liter on highway (80kph average).

Just in case you're considering this car...
