You have to take into consideration also the cost of the diesel fuel filter which needs replacement at 30k KM, plus other services.

About the same in the first year, mga nasa 10k+ for both cars. We have to see once we take into consideration the CVT fluid replacement of the Civic against the DCT fluid replacement of the Jetta.

Salamat Egan. Nga pala may event sa Glorietta this coming 16th Sept, mag offer daw ang BPI Fam ng zero interest for 60 months Loan even with Low Down Payment, totoo kaya to. Gusto ko talaga tong Jetta kasi.

cb- ok lang once a year ang punta ko sa dealership. i seldom run 5k kms in a year in each of my cars. except the pick up which is my workhorse.
based of my experience, most if not all dealerships remind us every pms schedules (5k kms) pag hindi ka nag avail void na ang warranty mo. so, doon na ako sa 15k kms a year more or less same din. hope the vw badge will live up to my expectations. 🤞

Galing naman at every 2 years ang palit ng air and fuel filter!
Sulit na rin since very low maintenance naman. Sobrang hassle magpa-pms kasi

It's 2 years unlimited mileage at least for the Golf GTS. This was something I was concerned about but the price was too good and car too nice to pass up. I had major problems before with the dual clutch of a Ford Focus (2009 TDCI) which is also a 6-speed wet clutch. But from what I can tell by googling, the DCT in the GTS is probably a DQ250 with few reported problems in other countries. And so far the transmission on the Golf has been great - no jerkiness even in traffic, shifts at the right moments, paddle shift was a joy to use driving down from Baguio on Kennon road (but i've only had the car less than a month). If you're looking at the same car and worried about long term reliability and maintenance, the other area I'd also consider is the DPF. I don't know how well this will hold up, but in my case I obviously thought it was worth the risk and so far have really been enjoying the car.

I saw a Golf GTS the other day. Swanky looking indeed.

Hows the torque and power for this model?

The usual output of the 2.0L TDI engine used by VW-group vehicles - 150 hp (from 3,500 to 4,200 rpm) and 340 Nm of torque (from 1,750 to 3,000 rpm). The same engine is used on the Jetta, A3/A4/A6, Golf Caddy, Touran, etc.

Below are the spec sheet summary for both Business Edition and Business Edition+ models.

Leatherette type seats pala yung GTS. I always thought that German makes used genuine cow hide.

Just bought a Jetta 2.0 TDI Business Edition. It has leather seats. So far, my FC is 10km/l for city driving. I have not done any hway driving yet. Pros: a truly nice car with its 150 HP and 350Nm torque. Nice amenities compared to the Comfortline and Highline variations. Also nice price at P1.25M. Cons: Just 2 years warranty unlimited mileage. Freebies are just the Mattings, EWD, Umbrella, keychain and Led flashight. LTO registration is not included. Although there is a backup camera with monitor included in the 5.8 touchscreen HU, there are no backup sensors. Windshield is difficult to clean as the placement of the wipers is not standard. Since it has a push-button starter, I don't know yet what the flip-key is for since there is no hole for the car key. Additional maintenance expense as an Adblue DEF has to be regularly topped-up.

Barring the Cons; I love my Jetta.

    Congrats on your new Jetta!

Regarding the keys, as with all new cars with push-button ignition, the key on the FOB is a backup to open the car doors. You may want to check if it fits. In the case that the FOB's battery is dead or the car's battery is dead, you can still open the car using the key.

Great torque as you might imagine from a turbo diesel. Comes on strong and early up to mid range then fades at high rpm. Vs the 2.0 focus tdci, my sense is it's more linear and sustained over a wider band. With the focus there's more of a sudden kick when the turbo comes in. But it's been a few years since I drove the focus so this is just my impression. Hp seems fine but nothing to rave about. To be honest it's a little hard for me to tell because I don't don't rev much and enjoy the effortless push the engine provides at moderate rpm.

I cant afford the RS3. Golf R lang talaga is my best choice for 300hp awd automatic. STI and type R are off my list.

How much is the Golf R quoted? And why don't you like the STI and the Type R (aside from the former being old(ish) and the latter being ricey)?
