I came in the show room for the Jetta, but I spent more time looking at the Golf GTS too.
Good pricing per feature so far, hope it stays that way (but cheaper ia better of course)
VW Philippines could've offer the Jetta M/T for ~950k to shake up the compact sedan segment.
Magkano golf gts nila sir?

yes. 1.35m for business, 1.4m for business plus
Information about variant differences are sketchy. What the SA is saying is different from the brochure.
Jetta, Highline over the Comforttline:
17s, fog lamps, dual zone auto climate control, 6 way power seats, rain sensing wipers, fender sound system, ... according to the brochure. But the SA says Comfortline has auto climate control and Highline has manual adjust seats, I asked her twice. I don't rely on brochures because most of the time it's from another country and not reflective of the actually released models locally. Pero parang di pa din alam nung SA, Businessline yung naka display sa alabang.
Business/Business over the Highline :
DRL, Bi-Xenon headlights, Adaptive front lighting.
Leaning towards Comfortline, given that VW Philippines didn't skimp on the basic security features... 6 airbags, abs, etc across all variants. But the golf gts is tempting, although a young friend of mine says it's a typical old family man's wagon ☺️
It is just that Pinoys are not fond of wagons unlike the Europeans. However, some would want to be different. Just look at those guys who drive their Mazda6 or Subaru Levorg wagons.
If you really like the Golf wagon, go for it. Think of it as a crossover but with a lower ground clearance or a sedan/hatchback with the interior volume of a crossover.
Wondering who would even consider the Business variant over the Business Plus ... it's just 50T difference ... strange pricing matrix ...
I really want the golf r. Wonder if i can order one

A friend got an amazing deal for a Volks Jetta 1.6 TDi, one of those special offers they had late last yer/early this year. Base looking with hubcabs but with all power features, 1.6TDi and 7DCT. For just 900K!
But as usual maintainance is not for the faint hearted hahaha!
She said it's more expensive than her Accent CRDi which she maintains through the dealer only. And to think that Hyundai dealers already charges a fortune to car owners. I wonder how much more expensive this Jetta is to maintain.
But still these german hotties are very much a tempting proposition![]()
one vw owner says the maintenance is ok. hmm what was her maintenance interval?

If it's a company-issued vehicle, maintenance/registration/insurance should be under the company unless it is a personal car bought under a corporate discount (same as ours thru Ayala last year). We are still waiting for it to go thru PMS this July but we got a free 7500km/6-month checkup last January.
Was able to visit and see the Golf GTS personally. Maganda talaga. Was even able to test drive the car.
Ito lang siguro magiging issue, the Diesel exhaust fluid. 2k for 15L. Around 10k km daw then top up again.
Also, euro5 diesel kailangan. Im not sure if may effect ba if you use euro4 diesel

I think the Adblue is to help clean the Euro 4 diesel to have close to Euro 5 emmissions.
Anyway sir sang VW ka nag test drive? Sa pinuntahan namin sa BGC VW wala pa daw test drive units. Was previously eyeing the Jetta but the GTS smittened us.
Also, nakapagtanong ka ba kung magkaron pa ng price change anytime soon? Like the introductory price will be increased or if discounts will be given?
Bro, that cost of Adblue is not bad, it also should be available cheaper from other sources. As for Euro 5 vs euro 4 fuel, a shorter engine maintenance interval should do the trick.
Adblue is their brand for their urea-water diesel exhaust fluid. It is for reducing NOx. Euro 5/6 requires much lower NOx. The engines with those systems are Euro 5/6.
engine wont start if naubos adblue. but may warning naman if 2,000 km nalang range ng remaining adblue

as per the SA, wala pang advice if there will be adjustments soon. be he mentioned excise tax several times

was researching about adblue as well. iba pala yung urea for vehicles. so I guess hindi pwede mag DIY ng DEF.
Maybe it's not necessary to fill up with AdBlue since there is no need to pass Euro 5 or Euro 6 emission tests here ...
Just researched ... engine won't start if AdBlue is empty ...
