Planning to buy the Polo Hatch 1.6. Would appreciate feedback from those who have bought. TIA.

For a spare car. May keep it for about 5 years.

If you can add a bit more, maybe you can get the base Jetta instead (1.1M). It's bigger and it has potent 2.0L turbo diesel engine.

Jetta is out of budget of sub 1M. Also wanted a small car this time as spare.

Give it a test-drive so you will have a feel of the car. Opinions vary between people.

It is better you go see the BGC showroom so that you will also be near to other dealers (Honda and Ford). You may want to check out the Jazz VX and Fiesta Ecoboost as they are priced about the same as the Polo HB.

*Egan101. I've already test driven the Polo hatch and it's ok. I'm just a bit skeptical on the reliability compared to the Japs.

If they bring the new Polo HB out here, it would be very tempting specially the 1.5T (148hp) and the 2.0T (197hp) GTi model. If Ford can't bring the Fiesta ST here, maybe VW can bring that Polo GTi here.

the 2018 polo is bigger, and better! What remains to be seen ay yung ownership costs. I think even in the states mas mahal ang parts ng VW.
