I'm looking for a second hand van and I'm considering either an MB Vito or Volkswagen Caravelle. I've seen an advert for 96 Caravelle for 600T, mahal ba to even if it is in good condition? Anong comments nyo sa Caravelle? Madali ba ang parts nito at di ba masyadong mahal, same as with the Vito althought kino-consider ko muna yong VW dahil medyo may kamahalan pa ang Vito.

Have a friend who just bought a Caravelle. Nasira yung evaporator, 60K and quote ng casa. Eventually had it fixed for 28K. Meron din parts yan but of course a few shops only carry the line so may kamahalan. Wala rin sa mga surplus. My friend bought it kasi maganda daw ang ride.

MB Vito has the common rail which is a throw away type of fuel injection. It will last longer than an ordinary one but will cost you when it needs to be replaced.

VW naman has the electronic VE pump which is about less expensive to repair but parts can be seldom..

Thanks lads.

Yung Caravelle at Vito, lower than average talaga ang build quality at customer satisfaction ratings nila.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that our 1997 MB100 is still very reliable up to now.

    hens,
in contrary to what you're saying that the vito is sirain.....I have yet to see my dad's vito break down. he takes it to long drives from davao to gensan for about 3 hours on paved and semi rough roads every other week not to mention it is his daily vehicle.

any vehicle not taken cared of will surely break down. our MB 100 like otep's is surprisingly still very reliable up to now.

6k for a side mirror replacement na whole assembly.

How much would it cost to repair the 4-wheel drive system? Do you know of an independent shop that repairs 4-wheel drive system of a Caravelle?
