Really It has no spare tire? I am seriously thinking about buying this car and I don't think I can live with an idea of a car with no spare tire as I often travel to the cordilleras.

Is it an option? or there is really no space for a spare tire?

Di yata bagay iakyat sa Cordillera unless maganda yung daan. It is all wheel drive, but the tires are low profile 205/50 17, di pwede pangharabas sa malulubak na mountain roads.

Congrats sa ride esp with the monitor and morels! Keep the updates coming! Thinking of getting the lower variant vs the innova for school service duty of my kids. Brother-in-law has one too and interior spaces is huge! Maraming pockets all around. Very basic dashboard and not much accessories available esp rear view camera. May backing sensors ba?
Different din HU ng 2 models? Lower model has a basic radio HU lang with no touchscreen IIRC

For Euro car manufacturers, turbo Diesel engines is a must as the market for them is quite competitive. VW makes TDI engines for all its brands (VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, etc). With regards to the US TDI fiasco, only one engine was the center of it, the 2.0L TDI which is shared across multiple VW and Audi models. Di issue as 'Pinas kung may cheat software man yung VW 2.0L TDI kasi di naman strict emissions regulations natin. Kung kasing strict man emissions regulations natin sa US, sigurado sapul yung halos lahat ng diesel vehicles dito.

is the floor height enough for some off-road trailings..?

no spare tire offer is really un-VWish..besides marketing the model as a family van it is supposed to carry loads for business fleet users..seemed as a compromise it has a flat tire repair kit as standard not sure..

but yes..at P1,55M one gets a totally different MPV configurations from VW..interior features seemed adequate except hard plastic surfaces is very prominent..AWD offerings from mainstream diesel brands starts at 1.8 to 1.9M..Subaru Forester is a 5 seater anyway while gas engine 7seater outback starts at p2.0+..not sure though if it has diesel engines being offered..

the new 7seater diesel CRV AWD also has 2.0M price tag more than half a million more than the AWD Caddy..

Actually a lot of VWs have either a space saver or a tire mobility kit. Only a few Japanese firms continue to have full size spares. Even my Forester has a space saver.

The Caddy is originally a van, so the interior is of course very plasticly, but also at the same time very logical and functional.

Looked at the specs of the CRV diesel, and surprisingly the Caddy packs more punch in both torque and HP. And hindi pa AWD sa lower model.

It has enough ground clearance for some gravel roads, pero not enough for full offroading. The Tiguan and Touareg have better ground clearance. AWD is meant more for slippery/muddy/gravel roads. But there are some YouTube videos that show Caddys doing some rough stuff.

The Golf Caddy TDI 4Motion (AWD) offers good value at its 1.55M retail price. 2.0L TDI engine is shared with the Jetta/Golf but tuned to 140hp/320Nm which is quite decent for its size. The sliding doors is a welcome of sorts for easy loading of passengers. Since the platform is similar to the Golf (VW MQB), you are assured of its decent handling.

If you don't need AWD, there is a cheaper FWD model powered by a 1.6L TDI engine rated at 102hp/250Nm. Retail price is at 1.35M.

Unfortunately yes. But can be remedied quite easily with buying a donut spare sa labas. Madami na ring cars na may donut spare. I have 2013 Forester where I was surprised it came with a donut spare instead of a full size spare. Also, the Caddy has a pump and tire sealant kit as well supplied. But of course, iba pa rin yung may tire talaga. In any case, that minus I can live with, as having flats for me occur very seldom din, even on long trips. Just have to check tires very carefully each trip.

only the 2.0 awd ang wala spare wheel. all other 3 models 2.0 comfortline, 1.6 comfortline and 1.6 sportline have spare wheel.

How about the airbags? Is the seatcover designed to accommodate the airbags to deploy in case?
