Maybe Volkswagen-PH should think of bringing over the 2017 Euro-spec Passat 2.0T to the local market. It comes with a 2.0L turbo engine (276bhp/350Nm) paired with a 6-speed DCT which propels the car from 0-100kmh in 5.5 seconds and electronically limited to 155mph. A very good alternative to the more expensive midsize Euro cars.

January 1st, 2018 07:56 PM #3The current Passat is packaged well enough in my opinion but I almost never see it on our roads.
Sadly, the mid-size to big sedan market is quite soft these days. Even Camrys and Accords aren't selling like they used to as most people with big sedan budgets go for SUV's instead.
Looking at resale values of big sedans, it is probably the worst category of all car types.
