Question for 3door Pajero (JDM) the Temperature is about 2 hair line above the half of the gauge temp. is it normal? is it the operating temp. of this ride? it has a new water pump installed few days ago. I am afraid the engine will over heat, kindly advice. thanks for your reply

Ang normal reading niya sa original pump, around 1/2 level. Pag taod sa replacement, mga 1/3 level na lang, pero magusab usab ang level kung, max 1/2 level kung pasaka, mukanaog kung padulhog.

I don't understand what you meant by 2 hairline above 1/2. Basta ang nahibawan nako, ALL cars maximum operating temp is 1/2. But there are some, like the isuzu hilander is at 1/3, while the fuego that uses the same engine, 1/2. Ambot ngano ni siya. But as long as max 1/2, safe ka na. Anything above 1/2, di na maayo.

Re: Temperature: What I mean is, if 1/2 is the Maximum Operating Temp. and if your are about 2 hair line above (1/2) the Maximum Operating temp. Is it Still Safe? Because it is a little bit more the the Required Maximum Operating Temp.( Steady in 2 hair line Above 1/2) or Maybe the gauge is not Accurate as I expected, Kindly Advice me your Comments re this Matter.

kung kulang ang tubig nimo sa radiator, o naa deperensiya imo makina (blowby/loose compression, injection pump problem), it will cause your engine to operate at a higher temperature level, kay mas muhago siya to achieve the targetted operating condition. Normally, mag fluctuate ang temp level. In your case, steady man kaha. Though it is slightly above, basta steady, ok lang. Does it fluctuate when you go uphill? Dapat steady ra gihapon. Since when pa ka nakabantay ana?

Di ko sure sa mga pajero surplus, pero with other imports like kia sportage, Sangyong Vans (MB100 equivalent), muproblema ang mga tag-iya kay ang cooling system is based on temperate countries like korea and japan. Tinuod to ang gisulti nila nga "tropicalized", which means though its the same engine, naay modifications ang gibuhat sa local units compared to its japan/korea counterparts, like bigger radiators, water pumps. But as long as di siya mulapas sa over 1/2, MORE OR LESS.

Thanks sa Reply, Bag-o ni siya ug Water pump, wala na ni leakage, and iyang tubig sa radiator is coolant mix 50/50 kong steady ni siya in the mark of 2 hair line above 1/2 sa gauage even on up hill wala siguro ni problema ako lang sab obser kong dili ba ni siya mo ta-as, kong staedy, no probs cguro? kung steady, ok ra, mao siguro ang setting sa water pump. So steady siya, regardless kung uphill, mag ulan, udto, buntag, gabii, after mu init na ang makina from cold start?

Except of course, kung gikan ka sa transcentral/busay, pakanaog ka, nakabantay ko mukanaog ang temp sa uban nga awto. Pero lower temp is not the problem here...

karon pa sad ko kabalik diri dah. mga bro, especially sir altec kay nakusaway gyud kaproblema sa diesel sportage. heheh. akung sportage kay magsige kahubas ang tubig sa radiator, but not sa reservoir which i think is not proper. bale, every week ko nag fill up ug tubig sa radiator mga less than 1li. unya kung padagan ko sa makina nga open ang radiator, naa fine bubbles. duda ko naa gamay na leak sa head gasket, pero wa sad gyud nuon ni overheat longest travel 80kms straight.

plano ko magpa compression test, mahibaw-an kayha ang problema through ani? and lastly, asa man ta magpa compression test? thanks mga bisdak...
