Been a few days now having this issue accessing tsikot.com. I don't know what changed but it appears that I can only access this site if I get creative with where I'm connecting from:

    1. PLDT Fibr (Home) - No
    2. IP Converge (Office) - Yes

    Further troubleshooting:
    1. VPN via Singapore - No
    2. VPN via South Korea - No
    3. VPN via Hong Kong - No
    4. VPN via US - Yes

Anybody else running into something similar?

Used GeoPeeker and tsikot.com is not accessible from 2 out of 6 test locations.

All other websites, including cnn.com, can be accessed from all test locations.

    How about traceroute?
Is tsikot the only one not accessible?

    Dns flush?

Doesn’t matter what device I use. It’s network dependent.

Traceroute isn’t reliable as most routers along the path to the website usually blocks ICMP traffic. In other words, a website can still be up even though it doesn’t respond to ping or traceroute.

I’m only having an issue with tsikot.com.

What i meant is just compare the routes going to tsikot via those different providers.
Can see that tsikot is hosted in cloudflare so it makes sense the end node is already unpingable.
Like for my case, i can see the last device which returns back icmp is 4.71.136.2 which is level3. I know the issue is not within my network or the local providers network as it goes out via the global route.
So 1 less thing to strike out.

    Try flushing your dns.
Or changing the dns and see if it would help.

    Btw.
Can see that tsikot is hosted in cloudflare and resolves to this 173.231.200.187

Try compare if it would be the same on all of your test environs.

not sure how that is setup, but my hunch yours is by sequence? try juggling it to default to google ns first.
checked as well http and https ports of tsikot and its replying.
at this point, i can't recreate the problem so i have no idea.

I don't think that my choice of DNS forwarders is relevant to the issue as tsikot.com is resolving to the same and correct IP.

    Tsikot.com Domain Health

Nothing out of the ordinary except for the dmarc record which is not critical naman sa tsikot i think.

Had similar experience, hard reset the router/modem fixed the issue.

Try name server lookup command or "nslookup"

As of this morning, the issue appears to have been fixed. I’m now able to access tsikot from PLDT. Even GeoPeeker results to 6/6 successful. I didn't have to do anything.

Though, I am curious to know what went wrong.

oh, wow, wait. it's a location issue or DNS server issue?
It took time for me to log in again with the correct username and password.
Also, when I try to change my password, it won't.

Looks like a BGP routing problem from where our local ISPs connect to the USA in Socal, to Tsikot.com's servers hosted by Amazon in Norcal.

VPN works because it lands on a different route. You can see the first big hop on the VPN traceroute landed somewhere in Texas, then followed a different path to the Tsikot servers.

IMO nothing wrong with PLDT or Globe. The problem happened entirely on the US side.
