Are heated debates ILLEGAL in Tsikot?

i think what's more appropriate in some cases - if you guys think that some members are fanning the flames or attacking other members - is not a thread close but a warning/suspension/ban, depending on the gravity and frequency of the offenses.

we are all entitled to our own opinion but then it's still under the moderator's call whenever such comments or views deemed to be subjective or objective to the topic at hand....

well, it's n the rules naman kasi. So, the decision will still fall in the hands of the mods. (*tsaka masama kasi inisin si Kuya m2*. Pag cnabi nya, warning ng isang beses.....he really means "1 beses"*).

I don't blame him kasi haba na ng thread tsaka kung san napunta ung usapan. Naubos na rin naman yung stock ko ng popcorn tsaka naubos ko yung half ng cheesecake dahil dun... :hihihi:....

Pardon my views, but i think the posts made about "Inday in Uniform" were heated, but I don't think anybody posted anything that can be classified as "motivated personal attack" against anybody.

meron sir. i don't think there's any need to post in detail, pero one tsikoteer was insinuating that a fellow tsikoteer had a grudge against maids, hence his opinions about the issue. medyo below the belt imho

with all due respect po, i think el chicane is within his boundaries to complain about the closing of the thread. in my view there were no personal attacks in the thread before the close. i have to concede though that there were really posts that are "baiting".

as for the mods, i will honour their judgement call on this. by and large they are pretty lenient on sensitive threads, so i'd say this is isolated. personally i wouldn't have closed it, but we all have different levels of tolerance. i humbly request our mods to maybe next time stretch their patience a little bit.

My opinion...If they are inflamatory in nature, and never result in gained knowledge. These threads should be closed promptly, to alleviate wasted bandwidth, and potential flames.

Ako naka 2 posts diyan sa thread na yan, pero nung huli di na rin ako nakisali kasi the thread started going nowhere. Imbes na healthy and intelligent discussions some guys started insulting each others, while others were baiting for more heated responses. I think mazdamazda did a good job in moderating and finally closing that thread, because I personally think that with the way the discussions were going , nothing good will come out of it. Magkakasamaan lang ng loob ang mga Tsikoteers.

Dude. You are in a privately owned and funded forum. Free speech is in, but mind you, WE HAVE RULES. Ganun kasimple. Personally i think your Marcos analogy is way out of line. Think of it this way, you're in another person's house, as such, you should respect house rules, right? You cant just take your shoes and socks off, remove the libag from your toes and smell it.

If you want a free for all auto forum with what you envision to be freedom of speech, by all means get some frickin servers and download free BB software, register your own domain and open up elchicane.com. Try to moderate it yourself while your at it.

Perhaps only then would you appreciate rules.
