    When: 8 years ago

    Where: HK and China

What happened: We were expecting to be taken to scenic places. Instead, our guide took us to several jewelry outlets. We still get to see some of the places in our itinerary but those side trips cost us some precious time. On the way back to Manila, one of bags got lost and it took at least an hour to retrieve it back.

London years ago. It was cold and it rained and rained and rained and rained and rained.

Germany about five years ago. It was sunny when I arrived. Then, it grew colder and rained and rained and rained and rained and rained. The day I left, it was sunny.

That's why I steer people towards attractions along the Mediterranean Sea. You can't beat that Mediterranean climate except maybe in winter.

Standard yang side trips in some cities. Sa Bangkok, depending on the distance, you can get as much as 50% of your fare (sometimes even free) if you allow your driver to pass by a jewelry store for just a few minutes. The taxi driver gets free gas coupons just by bringing a tourist to the shop, kahit walang bibilhin yung tourist.

Anyway, worst experience ko was last year when we were stranded in Bangkok for an extra ten days due to the protest at the airport. Noong first three or four days, okay lang kasi parang extended vacation. Kaya lang when it appears that the authorities are not keen on doing anything to resolve he situation, uncertainty set in.

Buti na lang Noli Castro approached Kapitan and he approved a special flight by PAL. But we still had to take a 10-hours bus ride. And there were no porters to help us in loading/transferring our luggage from the PAL office in Bangkok to the bus, then at Chiang Mai airport. Considering the number of luggage we had to carry, it was a back-breaking task.

It was our worst vacation, ever.

You probably missed summer. It only lasts for 2 weeks here.

Bondi Beach years ago. There was this woman in a wetsuit who just decided to strip naked besides her car and change to dry ones. Our car was parked next to hers.

Bad experience: Immediately after that, we decided to take a walk and look around for anybody else doing it. We found no one.

Lesson learned: Never go to Australia during winter. You'll miss a lot of pretty sights.

10 years ago, I had this lady office mate who was lucky enough to be sent to Vienna Austria for a 2 week training session. Lucky lucky.
When she came back, we had an all hands meeting, and at the end of the meeting, our boss asked her to share her experience of the trip.

It was the worst ever place she'd been to! Wala daw siyang makitang mall. Wala daw siyang makitang place that serves ulam and rice. Puro bread, sausage, saurkraut, blech daw. Yung hotel daw, maganda pero walang channel daw that aired "friends" and "ally mcbeal".
Her hosts took her daw to the most boring places like stupid composer's home... "Mochart" daw ang name.
And as a closing remark, she would never ever recommend Vienna to anyone. It was her worst ever trip daw. Sana Singapore or Hong Kong na lang daw yung training.

What the hell!? Lahat kami tahimik. Our boss, also livid, could only say, "Thank you for sharing."

Hehehe... la lang. Hanggang ngayon sour graping pa rin ako.

    Good experience......

But how does she looks like, from a scale of 1 - 10?
